In no way will one driver produce anything north of neutral bass.
No subgle BA iem can match a single DD iem.

One driver the one driver in the shoot out which has a single BA driver. Hope that clears it up. No single BA driver can produce enough bass. One DD can. This can ->
That can looks like it's going to deafen someone's hearingOne driver the one driver in the shoot out which has a single BA driver. Hope that clears it up. No single BA driver can produce enough bass. One DD can. This can ->
But somebody has fit 64 drivers into one monitor (see 'Bertha'). I think that tech is not far offso somebody has invented the technology to fit 50mm driver inside a iem housing? or i'm just in the wrong shootout thead?
Your wrong. My goal is the best sound on any uem or HP.so somebody has invented the technology to fit 50mm driver inside a iem housing? or i'm just in the wrong shootout thead?

64 drivers is just overkill IMO.
Glas half empty type of person? All I see is TOTL IEMs battling it out on details and none of them underperformed. It is so close that differences in tuning choices by the manufacturer can cause a difference of several places in the ranking, not because they are "worse", just because their strengths are more specialised. At least, that's how I see it. That makes the Warbler really special because they can apparently do everything really well, despite the foundation of only a single BA driver.-Unique Melody Maestro V2
-Warbler Prelude
these 2 seem to be the winners/overachievers in nic's shootout (so far)
as for losers/underperformers , one can make their own assumptions regarding which ciems here kinda underperformed , and at a price which should have been at least top-10 (but failed to do so)
When considering price things become more complicated because you would have to take into account more than just the sound. This shootout was never meant to be a "bang for the buck" type of shootout, but rather one purely about sound. That is why I ignore the price and look more at things like the Warbler's single BA driver, Dita's single DD driver, 64 at 18 BA drivers and AAW with their hybrid design. I like seeing how innovative different manufacturers have been to reach a certain sound signature and push its performance. And one signature might be more challenging than another. A more specialised signature will focus its strengths in one area with a trade-off in another, possibly causing a lower overall score.wallet half full i would say (cause i am not buying into buying hyped/overpriced ciems)
I am talking price-wise old sport when i say about winners/losers
if a 1200$ ciem trumps a 1850$ ciem , then there is clearly a winner/loser (or overachiever/underachiever) pattern in my mind at least
cheers
