I noticed the post about the food blog and my asnwer were deleted, isn't this thread supposed to be free? Or did someone complain. It would make this thread much less nice if it became as rigid as the brand hype led threads....
It's the universe telling us this thread needs more adorable cute puppy gifs...

In the spirit of this thread, I have been flagging every post for excessive and uncontrolled smoothness since the very beginning.

Hello guys,

I have been listening to the SE6 at peace these days and I thought I would give some feedback.

At first I was to busy to listen well, and I didn't want to rush it. Besides I didn't want to hype the SE6 if it didn't deserve. Well now I think I can say it does. Grzegorz did it again. Out of the WM1Z, all my music sounds awesome. Which is almost NEVER the case. It was more or less the case with the SE5U. but now the SE6 does the same with more spacious, crisper, more visceral bass, more holographic stage...all the things you never thought you could miss on the SE5U. Honestly I am a bit lazy to compare side by side, but this is really top level sound. But most important to me, this custom is self-sufficient. You don't need anything else. You don't need specific music, awesomely mastered tracks, you don't need another pair that has more of this or more of that. That's just it. It sounds awesome with nothing wrong, unless you don't like it's signature, which is possible (but unlikely).

I anticipate a price increase

For some reason I missed this

what are they like?

I had a pair of 01R MK2 for a week and returned them. The bass was good, but conturary to their claims I have heard much better bass in IEM's under $1000 AUD. Secondly they had an annoying peak at 1khz to 3khz that I didnt like. They are big, and I found them comfortable.

TL;DR: It sounds good. Not just normal good, but good good.

Given the market’s top dogs, can its current price (relatively-speaking) be justified?

Hum...well at top price I have KSE1500 and VE8 and compared to these two then yes. I tried the Fourte and while it is impressive space and bass wise it is not my cup of tea, and I prefer the SE6 easily. So in that realm yes.
