I've been on the Steve Hoffman forum Head-Fi 'Sound Science' forum a few times.
There's some very helpful and educational stuff on there. Also some disturbingly militant opinion-holders and fanboys, but it's all entertaining :D

Just a slight correction.

You're welcome :D

I didn't want to say anything because I recently got my head nearly bitten off for being critical of that part of the forums, but yeah, I was thinking the same thing. :p

LOL nooooooo. From the website:

Premium PLUS
4-wire single ended, 8-wire balanced+2 pairs of tantalum capacitors wired parallel to analog output: S$1049 (dual 1960s wire for DC ground section)

I'll reserve comment bcos I have zero engineering background.
Wow! Is this mod a similar design like the hs venom? Cant imagine how out of this world this would sound.

Hold on though, don't get it just yet! I wouldn't be surprised if soon there will be the mod with 1950s wires, which makes me feel strangely schizophrenic...

:imp: That is soooo cool! :imp:
:poodle: If by "cool" you mean an expensive way of getting new materials for a man thong. :poodle:
(Sorry, couldn't find a Monchhichi smiley, so I thought a pink Poodle would do instead.)

having aja - steely dan , shows me he did his homework on audiophile albums

i laughed hard with this pic btw , great combo of references

ps : SH forum is good when they talk about the music(ians) and the stories behind the albums etc - but i have to say that it also gets extra dorky/boring when they start talking about which cd/pressings sounds best

Layman and others...... nearly all 2 channel forums are opinions and not helpful...We have a 4 year old thread going on top end DAC's. My close friend Matt runs it. I was at CanJam with him for those who met me. This is one of the. only decent threads on Audiogon, lol....Over here, it's better I think.
