The good thing about the wa8 or h2 is that they can run both headphones and iems. Dap not so much.
Any impression on the A18/Zeus with Hugo 2 pairing. Any background noise? Thanks.

A slightly random question. Would the perceived loudness of a Well sealing CIEM be higher than a headphone at same SPL in a silent environment?

this is best hobby i ever had so far
so much joy and pleasure , so many idle hours filled with pure bliss
i have spent thousands of euros here these last 7 years and i do not regret one single of them , whereas everytime i go out and spend 7 euros for a lousy drink i immediately think 'money spent on total BS'
Hobby? It’s a way of living!

I just don't like the player in hand, it is a bit wide. Good quality, but just a bit wide.I'm thinking of getting the Opus #2 now, sigh.. Destination: "Bottomless pit"

I've tried Zeus with Hugo 2. There is some hiss, but quite bearable when the music is playing.Any impression on the A18/Zeus with Hugo 2 pairing. Any background noise? Thanks.

This is what I worry about Hugo 2 pairing with A18. I was not sure it was the problem with the demo unit or there is little hiss for Hugo 2 in general.I've tried Zeus with Hugo 2. There is some hiss, but quite bearable when the music is playing.

I have 2, actually, along with the Pioneer xdp-300r, and an iBasso DX90 (which I very rarely use). Right now using the Pioneer most.

My H2 should be in today, I'll get you that hiss info tomorrow. A18 is very dynamic and exciting so it makes the Hugo sound a little more dynamic which is a good thing. Most who object to Chord either say it's too mid forward or not dynamic enough. I really wanna hear Wa8 and compare that to H2 since I like tube sound.

I'm really gun shy about ciems these days, went for the acs Encore, never fit well, never sounded good, after warranty stopped working altogether. Feels like another $1k gamble...

Intersting, I hope Empire Ears and/or 64audio will come out with some promotions too
