I call that part of Asia, East Asia, Sinosphere, or countries influenced by Confucianism.

I had been 2 times in China, mostly in Shanghai and Zhejiang-Wenzhou, and what surprised me the most was that I couldn't see any homeless people begging, sleeping around, or "ambushing" at the door of the supermarkets. Everyone seemed like either chilling or busy doing something; even the poor people that I have seen had a busy life (be it working in a little food stall or cleaning the streets).
that's China, a "so called communist" country with more capitalists than all of us together x2. you sense the contradiction ? B.t.. communism was invented by a German philosopher (Marx). I wonder how Chinese can at all relate to German political ideologies...
And yes - no beggars on the street, no people just hanging around - almost NO police visible on the street (very surprising) - except TianAnMen place... somehow they do things very smart and effective

Airpod pros for subways and the gym! I think they're really underrated honestly. Nice dynamics, balanced sound, solid imaging. I know the ANC enhances the "seal-equivalent" but it really helps me get immersed into the music.

So much so, I dare say I am semi-interested in the Airpod MAX
Do AirPod Pro have a microphone so that use could use them for phone calls?

Yup, use them daily for work.

Generally works well although for a very important call I’d probably just use the lightning stock earbuds since those have less inconsistencies.

They’re on sale now I believe but I’d probably wait a month to see if they announce a new version with more battery life if that matters.

Indeed! Where I live, it's so dangerous, even the po-lice carry guns! (with apologies to Gil Scott Heron RIP)

Even the Erlky sound “mid-fi” ish in comparison to my headphones (and i4) :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:
If after listening to the D8000 I would switch back to IEMs, those would sound like a mosquito band playing by comparison. Still need to get back to the i4 and give those another chance. Would love to make them work for me.

@rockwell, et. al. I think that when you compare several equally good, but sonically different components, whether iems, cables, DAPs, dacs, etc. several things happen. Once you hear 'new' stuff from one of them, you look for it from the others, often quite succesfully-like building a data map of the recording, so to speak. What sometimes also happens, is that after you've switched back and forth and forth.. a few times, you start to get frustrated with all of them, as it is usually the case that no one of them emerges as a clear winner. Seems like 'best' is usually almost instantly obvious (seems like the Traillii is an example of that for many folks here). Merely differnt, is a bit disapointing, on the other hand..

But, I find that these days lots of gear is quite good, so that once something has come up to stable operating temp, and you spend some time with it, you adjust, enjoy the music, and move on with your day..... The A-B comparison fades away a bit, and you 'love the one you're with'. After all, you thought they were good when you bought 'em in the first place. It goes from 'wow that's different' to 'wow, that's a great album'

What complcates maters a bit further, is not having a target, or having a moving target. It often takes some time to determine what you really like, and what is an instant "no" characteristic. Seems like it should be easier, but it really isn't. Self-awareness, and owning your preferences is hard! Communicating them to others, and translating from yours to theirs, or vice versa, is even harder. Not to mention the fact that the words we have to describe sound are, at best, a bit poetic, metaphorical and subjective....

Yay!

I should also point out that it is a wonderful thing to have som many like-minded, thoughtful, generous, helpful "fellow inmates" to share and discuss this stuff with, and dealers like Andrew at MusicTeck who help us feed our appetites.

Everything they take from those ideologies are sinicized, be it the idea of communism, socialism, or capitalism, they only have taken some parts of it adjusting it to the chinese social frame. In fact, China practices all of them to different degrees, and they preffer to call their system "socialism with chinese characteristics" that is currently lead by the CPC.

Yeah, it’s been postponed until April.

I think I mentioned it before actually 😂

They had an announcement and apology about it actually.

Yes, you did post this, but I didn’t know whether this applied to the US market as well. ✌️

So, the S.K is warmer, huh? That’s not a surprise since being too bright was the biggest gripe against the A8000.

I was trying to tone down my words, but since you said the above, then yeah that’s what I meant :sunglasses: and do have another go at i4, I hope you can get a good fit.

On another note, if you have chance to demo the Susvara (with a proper amp), please do so. It is literally perfect for classical music. The level of realism is truly unreal.

Having received the Trailli a couple days, it is the best iem i’ve ever heard (I own A18s, A18t, Fir M5, Roxanne, Ra c cu, InEar pmx, Equinox, Lola). The soundstage is like a headphone. The treble, vocal, bass are the best !!

Thanks Andrew (Musicteck) for kindly help as always :)
This lead me to an idea what circled around my head for a while... see below - not that i am a photographer so any comments and critique is welcome..

Yeah, it unfortunately applies to all the markets. Gave you the opportunity to grab the Anniversary VE8 tho 😂

Yup, the S.K is overall warmer and musical compared to the more technical and bright A8000.
Does make me think that I should grab a A8000 still though. But I’m broke, so it just has to be the S.K for now.
