I apologize if you thought I was harsh, but I stand by my comments. I will say that there is not enough "truth" or at least people willing to convey what they truly feel, especially from reviewers. I only have my subjective opinion and integrity.

No need to apologize --- we absolutely respect your opinion, and we earnestly do value it. As mentioned before, we took feedback (including yours) from the DK-3001 and applied substantial improvements to the DK-4001 and DK-3001 PRO. You're welcome to experience our 2nd generation shells --- we can continue this conversation via PM (so that we don't derail any conversation here).

Unless the VE system is different (and In happy to be corrected), ambient ports are mainly used by stage musicians to break IEM seal and let in the "crowd noise", to avoid feeling cut off from the audience. Not sure how much benefit that sort of thing would be purely for audiophile use?

Good link explaining traditional CIEM ambient ports here:

Could be handy if you use c/iems in the work place and still need to hear the supervisor or whoever? Had it a few times when I've had mine in and not heard (or seen them due to being blind on the right side!)them speak to me.

I've been talking to the guys from ItsFit all day about my Katana reshell and the Fusion design....

Unreal customer service. Lightning quick responses, hours apart. Genuinely amazed

Awesome to hear, David! I reckon you won't be disappointed, especially with your cable collection. There's not a thread yet, though I did plan on setting one up for my full Fusion review. I may or may not fast track that thread to tonight, though. :p

I don’t expect to be disappointed, about the cable collection the DITA Oslo fat 2 pin are really a big problem I think I might even re-terminate can’t use it with anything other than FIBAE7 :frowning2:

Hmmm... that's funny, the FIBAE 7 is one of the only IEMs I can't use the OSLO with. :D I managed to get the pins to somewhat fit, only for the right earpiece to fall off the cable as I was storing it. Thankfully, @piotrus-g builds his IEMs like tanks and it survived a 3ft drop without the slightest hint of a knock or a scratch. But, it's safe to say I won't be trying that pairing again anytime soon. :p

I could use with my em10, my purple, my prelude and my Fusion.
Too bad to read that

With all of these orders for Fusions being placed I feel like I should hurry to send my impressions in to get in front of the queue :D

Asked for a dark green shell and a golden doggo paw for mine

Hmmm maybe variances in the manufacture process?
Did you have to loosen the socket beforehand?

Sure the FIBAE are built like tank :muscle:

Well sockets may have variance as well?

Anyway if that’s a consistent issue it’s a BIG problem for future 2pin Oslo owners they should be aware of... I am kind of not really happy to have put that much money into a cable I can’t pair with the IEM I want to pair them with.... Especially since I hesited so much between this and Aegis 8 wire...

Not sure which shop would replace the 2pin termination by a 2pin that actually works...

This thread has screwed me once again.

Placing an order for a Fusion and a Katana reshell damn

@Deezel177 reading your reviews and impressions is more expensive than a weekend vacation in st tropez
Who needs a vacation when you can just sit back, relax and let Pink Floyd take you there(VE is required)?

Slide a rind down behind
The sofa in San Tropez
