I'm fan and user of MB5A MKII so I would say some of our IEMs share some similarities with those speakers

Dang... my next questions was gonna be "Anyone have hardware specifications of that thing (pillow)?". Well if it is limited geographical release... out of my reach for the next DAP (plush or otherwise)...

Probably better anyway. Just think about what a mess it will be to go through a firm-ware update every time... Old worn-out stuffing out, new fluffy stuffing in.

The leaked out spec was already shared: https://www.head-fi.org/threads/lot...sb-dac-bluetooth.875802/page-89#post-14957632 - looks like a scaled down version of LPGT, lower power (500mW -> 300mW) and a different DAC (4497 -> 4493), the same OS including PEQ, and I have seen references to $1.2k price tag.

But at the same time, Erik, how cool would it sound "I just got a DAP pillow for my dog" Though, that could easily turn into "stuffing out" in a short while

Yes but with a slight mod. You have to put a little bit of fabrics or mesh or whatever rolled into the filter, otherwise their brightness is a bit too aggressive. But it is super easy and reversible. And at 300$ or so...I listen to it as often as my SE6.

I've just pulled the trigger and ordered a pair of VE8.

Kinda sick of ordering in ears all over the world....why seek far afield when the good is close by?
