  Yeah man...
I've always seen the FLC8 on lmue's website but i always dismissed it.
I just thought it's some dodgy overpriced IEM; never heard of the company, price was high, not many reviews...... I didn't like the looks of it and I thought the tuning system was gimmicky.

Dam right, just as I thought of everytime i see it.

If this IEM was released by bigger and more well known brands like Sennheiser / Audiotechnica / JVC heck, even Vsonic, this thread would probably already have 100 pages haha

Yamaha EPH-100 =D 400 pages+ IIRC

It's the sheer technical capabilities, the resolution, the soundstage that baffles me.
Even without the tuning option it would still be a very capable IEM whichever filter they decide to put as stock

Same here! Glad Teo asked me to try them. Everyone, and I mean everyone, who's tried them so far has been impressed!!!

Whaleshark12: You dare mention EPH100 in the presence of the almighty FLC 8S??? Noooo!!!!!!

I'm chill @Whaleshark12. Just not a fan of EPH100. Had them. Barely used them. Sold them. Never looked back!

Same, haha. But I do miss it's Isolation occasionally.
Woot! Looks like I just might be getting a Lotoo DAP or two in for testing soon. Forrest loves them so much, he wants me to give the FLC 8S a listen with them!

But damn, it fits so well, it sounds so good and the tuning system works so well.....
If it DJScope didn't ask me, I wouldn't have considered it.

Yea! When I first saw this I was like what is this overpriced thing. Well there was also a time that I thought DUNU was some weird Chinese brand with a derpy name, and only average quality...

After listening to them, yep you guys know the feeling too.

From what I read, oxidation on silver is actually only affecting little on the electrical conductivity of Silver. This is different from copper and other metal. Copper oxide conductivity will reduced substatially. Aluminum oxide is even a good isolator (at the room temperature).

Based on my memory with with ccc (continuous copper cast/single crystal copper), not as ear/headphone cables but for interconnect, they have unique sound characteristic which tend to sound like "n" shape. Gradual roll of at both ends of spectrum. I never tried silver though... (very expensive

Oh that's interesting. Good info!

With which tuning @DJScope?

I'll be getting Q-Jays soon, too. Seems we're on similar paths, my friend!

Red, grey, gun metal.

The build and weight on the Q-Jays is what an IEM should be like. This design should be the blueprint for everyone to follow. So light and comfortable. This is true blue forget about it portable audio. They're very sleek too!

Anyway back on topic. I feel that the FLC8 does the reference sound signature a little better. The Treble on the Q-Jays, while its crisp and detailed, it feels a little smoothed off when compared to the FLC8 crunchy and lightning fast type treble.

Cool beans DJScope!

Your characterization surprises me. From impressions / reviews I've read I expected Q-Jays to be pretty bass-light. Glad to hear they keep up with my preferred FLC 8S tuning. I'm eager to try them, as my wife's family is from Sweden where Jays is headquartered. I'll have to visit them the next time we're over there!

My impressions are still early and my comparison is on the overall signature; both being reference targeted. I feel that the FLC8S is a little bit better. The Q-Jays on the other hand are airier.
