So, I've purchased the Campfire Audio Dorado's. Upon casual listening, the FLC8s definitely hold their own. However, I'm going to do a deeper dive and do more thorough comparisons in effort to answer the question for myself, are the Dorado's an upgrade to the FLC8s?
I listen to mostly electronic; Rameses B, Solar Fields, Gregory Esayan, etc. However, I thought I'd ask my fellow head fi'ers, what song(s) would you like me too compare these with?

Random factoid. I am waiting for some more grey/black ULF filters to arrive from LMUE (they are in the US per DHL but getting from there to here can take a while. In the meantime I had to go back to red ULF. I was down to two red filters as one went on vacation. But boy howdy last night one crawled out from under the mouse pad. So back to three red filters. That is a first; a ULF filter that returned from vacation.

Woo! I've actually been considering the Dorado as a possible end-game upgrade from my FLC8s myself, and would love to have some impressions!

Can you let me know how the two sound for Friend, by Blackmill? I'm particularly interested in the bass response and the supposed "cathedral ceiling" effect for the highs from the Dorado's TAEC.

If you have the time, I'd also love to hear comparisons for Sound Remedy's Remix of Medicine by Daughter, Monody by TheFatRat, and Blue Rose by Skrux. I put links to all four songs at the bottom of the post.

Thanks a bunch!

P.S. - Are you using the stock cable with the FLC8s? (I'm using the Vitesse silver upgrade cable from Null Audio, which improves the sound quite notably, so I want to try to account for any differences there in your setup.)

hi guys... how's the metallic coating of the flc8s on your everyday use?

Mine actually just recently started to flake a little, right below the connector on the inside, on both buds. I'm a bit bummed. But, on the other hand, they don't seem in any way compromised, and mine are fairly old - I bought them in November 2015 and have used them for several hours daily ever since.

Hi
I missing the red plastic for high bass, please lets me know where can i buy the Accessories flc8s

Thanks and Sorry for my bad english

You can get a replacement set of filters from Lend Me UR ears (http://www.lendmeurears.com/contact-us/). They're not officially listed in the store and you have to contact Teo, the owner, however he is a really nice and helpful person.

I've just received my FLC8S. Paired with Ibasso DX200 they sound amazing at barely 50% of volume. Using SpinTip & RED-GRAY-GOLD. Treble a bit hot, not by much, the rest simply a pleasure to listen to.
Anyone tried Comply?

^^ good combo, using it right now myself.

People using FLC8s and who enjoy some irreverent punk noise, please listen to Radkey's Delicious Rock Noise album. Because it is what it says it is (and also irreverent punk)

Comply reduces the punch and slam. White silicone tips increases slam. Blue nozzle reduces treble hotness quite a bit.
