Hello.
I just ordered my TOGO 334.
I've got a Fiio X5 v1 DAP, and a FiiO E12 heaphone amplifier. How should I use my TG334 to let them sound the best : with or without the headphone amp (and if with, gain setting on Low or High) ?

^try pairing with aune m2s or m1s by aune or qp1r.
I have paired it with the m2s by aune and i never bought any dap eversince.

Also, dont try to upgrade your cable because to my ears youll loose that original Tg334 sound.

I wonder if anyone already compare FAD Heaven VI to TG334?
I have 334, I love how they sound but let's be honnest I don't feel I can wear them outside.

All reviews mention how Heaven VI are beautiful for vocals (very lifelike). Since mids are the strength of the 334 maybe some already tried both.
Thanks

I do.
The sound very differently. Yes fad is sounds good but it can never sound as beautiful as the tg334 no matter what dap you use.

The tg334 as mentioned here and in many reviews stated that it has the best mids / vocals.

Also, build quality.
Fad 6 cable is irreplaceable, lose a signal in one part of the iem and it cant be fixed. Unlike the TG334, its a tank like iem.

In the end of the day, the tg334 wins in all aspects.

Hello
Having just bought my pricy Togo334, I don't plan to change my gear... : I've got a Fiio X5 v1 DAP, and a FiiO E12 heaphone amplifier.
How should I plug my TG334 to let them sound the best : with, or without, the headphone amp ? And if with, gain setting on Low or High ?

You can plug your TG334 directly into your FiiO X5 because the TG334 is a very efficient IEM. Your X5 is powerful enough to drive the TG334 to it's full capacity. The TG334 is efficient enough to be driven by normal Android phones but of course it won't sound as good compared to the X5.

So there is no more benefit of using the headphone amp ?

OK, I understand that there is no need to use the amp...
I thought that besides the power question, an headphone amp could add better dynamic or other benefits ?

That's exactly what I meant XP-98, if it's solely for sound quality purpose then by all means amp it. As for High gain or Low gain from the amp, I'd say stick to Low gain because the TG334 is very efficient and super easy to drive. Putting your amp on High gain will only introduce unnecessary noise to your TG334

To build a perfect combo, I also ordered a X5-III :)
Would you still recommand the use of the E12 (for sound quality improvement) with TG334 ?
I'm not sure, but I think the amping of the X5 III is stronger than before...

can't believe I still have the tg334 for almost 2 years now..
normally, iems last for few months only on me..
end-game iem??..no..
it is built to last and make you enjoy every second you plug it in your ears...

almost 2yo rig: 901s w/ minibox gold + tg334

I've had the TG!334 for like 5 years now (owned it twice, sold off and realised the mistake and promptly bought a replacement). Learnt my lesson then but I have to say now that I have my FitEar Titans I may be finally ready to release my TG!334 again.

The Titan sure looks good and I'm sure it sounds really good to tempt you to release your TG!334 again. Btw the Titan sure looks very expensive too....

Oh yeah, the Titan is up there with the other expensive IEMs but it's durable  and sounds great!
