They're already available in the USA unfortunately my native land of Canuckville is still without the legendary XB10000

Wait, they have the 10,000 now?

Seriously, though, Sony doesn't seem to like us Canadians very much.

Just order them online, or does Canada have a embargo on that.

No we don't have an embargo but we do have taxes and duty fees which can be pretty ridiculous depending on the gear ordered. Oh and if you want the shipping company to clear the package through customs for you it's even more money if not you'll have to do it yourself and run around filling out paperwork.

The XB series is (IMO) the best place to get that type of bass. The only other can I've heard that comes close is the DT770 Pro, but for 'subwoofer bass' the XB series can't be beat.

Do these cans have that subwoofer like bass or are there other cans that have that type of bass?

In this price range you should take a look at the Denon AH-D2000 also.

This.  After owning the Pro 900 and then switching to the Denon D5000, I've discovered that loud bass doesn't necessarily mean it sounds like an actual subwoofer.  The D5000 has a much more realistic bass that goes so deep and hits hard when it needs to, and it tricks my brain into thinking a sub is on much more than the Pro 900s ever did, even though the Pro 900s clearly have more bass quantity.

I haven't heard the XB1000, so maybe it has this bass as well, I"m just pointing out that bass volume does not equal subwoofer-ish-ness.  < best word I've ever made up right there
