How did you get a hold of the Make 4 in the USA? They only ship to Japan, I tried using a proxy mail service called Tenso for the first time, but I guess I didnt fill things out correctly, because they canceled my order. Please tell me how to get my hands on these IEMs.

You have to use a Japan shipping address (your forwarding service's warehouse) and Japan billing address to order on Final's website. I tried to do it with a US billing address and Final canceled my order. I fortunately had a friend in Japan who purchased it for me and shipped it to me.

Hey friends,

Just to send some Kudos to an Amazon vendor, Audio Equip from Eden Prairie.
I had an issue with one of the drivers of my Final B1. The volume was significantly lower than the other side and I got it replaced without any questioning! :)

Here's the Final B1 with the FiiO M11 and the upgraded cable, LC RE Pro 2022 with Etymotic tips! Awesome passive sound isolation!

Something distressing happened to me today. I had bought the replacement earpads for the Final Sonorous X. This was supplied by the authorised dealers of Final in Singapore.

The old ear pads were peeling off (or rather the leather/faux leather top layer). Today I sat down to replace them. I have done this before and most recently with the D8000 ear pads. There’s even a youtube video for it.

Imagine my horror to find that the top layer of the new leather ear pad started to disintegrate. And now looks worse than the old one I was looking to replace. In the photo below, the one in the background is the old one. And on the right, is the new earpad with the the tears. This is a nightmare! I’ve ended in a worse off position than with the old earpads.

My suspicion is that the ear pads from the AD have been kept for too long and have degraded in quality. :frowning2:

Just a warning to fellow Final owners.

The Singapore Authorised Dealer in Singapore, who also own Dita, sent across “new” ear pads for the previous degraded ear pads. I let the store try to fit on the replacement of the replacement ear pads… Well… the pictures speak a thousand words. 🤦🏻‍♂️

Ouch.

Indeed. Not sure which is worse: Final making ear pads that are sub par compared to the cost of their headphones. Or the reckless disregard of Project Perfection owned by Dita, as their AD in Singapore. Poor and abject customer experience for one of their most expensive and iconic headphones.

Caveat emptor!

Hey everyone,

How does the Final Audio A5000 compare with the Final Audio A8000? Is the soundstage difference worth the price jump?

I’m looking for a very wide soundstage with excellent seperatin and imaging. Basically I want a ‘holographic’ soundstage where the music sounds BIG (emphasis on the capitals lol). And I want a 360 degree level of sound from all angles outside my body type effect.

Will the A5000 offer me this sound whilst saving money, or is the A8000 the only capable IEM at this from Final Audio?

Campfire andromeda can do a large 3d stage but its at the expense of sounding hollow.

Thanks, what is meant by hollow sound, so I understand better, do you mean anaemic in bass and mids?

How about the Sennheiser Ie900?

The sound isn’t very thick, lacks weight and tactility. If your priority is sound stage, separation and detail it’s a good iem. I haven’t heard IE900.

Ah, I see what you mean. Lack of bass and weight for a £1000 range IEM is a deal breaker for me. Is there any IEM you know of in the £500 to £1000 range which has the same or similar amount of detail retrieval and image seperation (basically a ‘holographic’ sound if that makes sense), but has a good amount of bass. I respect that sound engineering it may not be possible to create an IEM that is stellar in all frequencies. Maybe the term neutral applies, but usually I find with IEM neutral can mean sterile, but Im looking for a mix of fun and analytical.

If you know of any IEMs like this?

I just received my review sample of final’s new flagship, the ZE8000. According to Kyo-san at final Japan, the demand has been so high that they’ve had a hard time keeping up with supply, and that’s why it took so long for me to get my sample.

Anyway, I’ll be doing a lot of listening for the next couple of weeks, and I should have a review up by the end of the month.

After some experience with tip rolling with the E series and other IEMs, I have learned that while the Final E tips help "tame" the treble (really nuking it) they also introduce holes in the treble and piercing high Q peaks on the upper mids. If you are a E5000 owner and find them lacking on some records my advice is to consider getting some Radius Deep Mount tips for an even smoother sound without impacting the bass response.

Finally got a coupler to test my assumptions:

Hello everyone, final audio is presenting our latest flagship TWS, ZE8000 at Canjam New York this weekend.

Screenshot 2023-02-24 at 8.05.24.png

ZE8000 is a pair of Truly Wireless Stereo (TWS) earbuds that has been delicately designed in both hardware and software in order to achieve the acoustic properties newly discovered by final. Completely different from the conventional sound design approaches, this brand new 8K SOUND technology exceeds the achievement of “Transparency” accomplished by the previous flagship D8000 and A8000, by delivering an unprecedented level of clarity, with the true identity of every bit of sound being revealed in full force, promising in a whole new level of music enjoyment.

We are also hosting a Lucky Draw campaign by our booth for these 2 days. For both 2 days, the first 150 people of the day who try out the ZE8000 will have a chance to win the following presents.

1. ZE8000 x1 - Retail USD349
2. ZE3000 x1 - Retail USD149
3. ZE2000 x1 - Retail USD139

Even if you do not get 1 of these, you will still get free 5 pairs of final Type-E Limited Edition Color (of your own choice) which is only available in our final STORE located in our headquarter.
