i notice it have issue reading 256gb sd card. mine other 128gb sd card seem ok.

yea i have the same issue with 256gb sd card too, it crashes my fiio music player when scanning for music

I intended to upgrade the Fiio app because when I try to play any file on hi-res (especially 24bit-96 khz or above) through the DLNA they are playing very slow, like a stuck vinyl.

With the updated 1.0.8 firmware that version of the app has been obsoleted, even deprecated.

After this new firmware has anyone tested DLNA with hi-res files in the m4a format? (Apple Lossless)
Songs are played as if they were at extremely slow speed. I tested with files in 24 bit - 96Khz.
In FLAC everything is ok, the problem happens only with the m4a format

I am using Fiio X7 first generation and the updated Fiio Music Player.

Taking away the ability to use as an actual player, if you compare the x7ii to the Q5 with the same amp module, is there a significant difference in sound quality between the two? I really don't need the player functionality as I'd rather use my iphone as a source. I just want to make sure I'm not sacrificing sound quality going with a Q5 instead.

Concerning Tidal and SRC (sample rate conversion):

Is there any upsampling/resampling process going on when streaming via Tidal? If so, is there any app (despite UAPP), that guarantees bitperfect output at 44.1 kHz (perhaps the version in the FiiO market)? What about offline listening via the official app installed Google Play Store? Is the sample rate converted from 44 kHz to 48 kHz? Thanks for your help!

No, the sound quality is very similar between the X7 II and the Q5. I did a direct test between the two and found it very similar (even through bluetooth)

Neutron is pretty good., there is also Pulsar, and USBAudio

so, after the last update, the Google services are unusable and ask to be activated, but i can't find any way to do so.
so, I have done a factory reset (2 actually) and...... nothing. I have no access to the Google services. the google playstore seems to have disappear
they are nowhere in view, so my X7mkII is totally offline and unable to be update .

NOT AGAIN !!!
While the previous update was (for once) pretty stable, this new one is driving me mad, i can't scan the files on the SD card (slot 2) as Fiio Music crashes while doing so.
ONE STEP FORWARD, TWO STEPS BACKWARD

edit : alright, it's the "sd card slot 2" dropping bug being back, even Neutron crashes while scanning sd2, it's an emergency to fix this Fiio.

edit 2 : I did a factory reset through android recovery mode, now everytime the X7 goes in sleep mode the microSD slot 2 disconnects, even Neutron is unusable now, thank you Fiio, you ruined it all (again).

Anyone knows how to revert to 1.0.7 ?

Ok, for those of you who encounter the same issue with the Google Services, try this :
install the Fiio update manually
or
do a hard reset and install the Fiio update manually (it works for me)
