Times up. I quit.
My x7ii is for sale, will replace it with new Ibasso DX220.

It is really disappointing to see such a good sounding devices with such poor software support. Especially considering it was a ~700€ device.

I will not make same mistake twice.

Why it does not download?

Copy URL, past, use "http" instead of "https" and it will work
Surely someone at FiiO must have tested the download link, right? :confounded:

Dear friend,

Please try to update this firmware and check whether the issue still remains?

@FiiO, the problem remains, if we're talking the same problem a few other posters also reported, that is, player pauses music when it enters stand-by, either by itself or because user pressed briefly the power button. I thought this was a general problem but it doesn’t surprise me many people doesn't have it since it only happens (to me at least) when playing via line-out coaxial. I just realized this minutes ago since I was so pi$$ed I couldn't play a track I thought “how on earth???” There must be something else! So I did A/B with coaxial to headphone DAC/AMP and with 3.5mm from AM5, half a dozen times it did pause every single time on coax and played flawlessly on AM5.

Anyway, it doesn’t happen every time, sometimes after a few pushes, backs and forwards it starts working fine, but the problem returns in no time and sometimes worse as it was the case some minutes ago.

My 2 cents

Hi guys, sorry can I check for Fiio X7 Mk2 how do I transfer the Spotify music downloads to the internal storage of 64GB ? It keep default to the storage that is like only 3GB?

I have the X5III but the Spotify Premium app should give the same options for the X7...

In the Spotify Android app, hit the little ||\ icon at the bottom, click the gear icon, go to the very bottom, under "Other" click Storage and it should give you options for what ever storage the app has recognized as available. I guess in your case it's currently putting downloads into the small apps partition of 3Gb. This small partition is officially known in my X5 as "Internal Storage" (if you go into Setting/Apps), and it is 1.96Gb in total space for the X5. For some reason FiiO has decided to force one into installing any Android apps into this very small 1.96Gb space while leaving the 26.1Gb space (Officially 32Gb internal storage on the X5III and 64Gb in the X7Mk2 and is called NAND Flash in the X5) for music files. But I digress.

In Spotify I just did the switch myself to my 256Gb SD card as I was currently downloading to the 26.1Gb partition. I think I must have my X5 maxed out apps-wise as the little 1.96Gb space isn't even showing up as available.

Anyway, once you make the switch it will ask you if it's OK then it will do the transfer of any music files and then reboot the app. You can then recheck to make sure it's changed.

Dear friend,

The issue happens in lineout output or coaxial output but not headphone out, right? If you set the screen off time(sleep) to 30 minutes, does the issue happen in screen on mode?

Best regards

iBasso went a step ahead with the new PEQ in their DX220 but FiiO went backwards with their new dynamic useless EQ.
Come on FiiO, please improve the EQ.
Lotoo is doing it, Cowon is doing it and iBasso is doing it.
Why can't you do it???
