I'm having a new problem with my X7 II since the last firmware update. While playing music and after the screen goes into lock mode (i.e. turns off), the player will just stop playing randomly after a short period of time. I press the play button again, the player will begin and then stop again randomly.

Anyone else experiencing this? It may only be coincidence that it started after the last firmware update.

I had this problem too, not just with the fiio app but with neutron as well. After about a day's use a few times off and on again it went away

FiiO music has been giving me horrible time with the player. This morning while I listening, I tried to quickly adjust the volume with the onscreen control and it stopped giving any output. Closed the App, tried rebooting and it froze. Now it's been acting weird. Now I have nothing left to try but factory restore. It's been a lot of factory restores in a few months I owned the device. I am really fed up with it now. I have been using FiiO music for just for Viper effects.
The latest FiiO app doesn't have the Viper anymore, it seems like a dead end. Why FiiO why?
By the way I already tried the FiiO new dynamic EQ and it's worse than the one before.

Indeed, I have a similar problem with the latest FW.
Sometimes when I try to change the volume a little onscreen (starting eg. 86/120), nothing is happening for maybe 10 seconds. Then suddenly, the volume is on 30 points.

Very sad day to hear all this .. I'm not in a rush to get rid of it and reverting back a bit solved my issues, but I'm reluctant to buy FiiO again.

The funniest thing that I have been following this thread and Ibasso's dx200, dx220 for a long time. People are discussing sound signature, comprising different amps, new features and such stuff like that there. In this thread, only pain and blood tears one bug has been fixed and several new ones come up! come on... no more Fiio in my life!

I only use mine in a very simple way, file browsing, so I have no problems. It still sounds realy good out of the 4.4 balenced.

I use mine in folder mode as well, no album or artist mode. I don't have any problems with the type of use I use it for and the sound quality is excellent. The problem with FiiO is that their "software engineer" seems rather useless.
They seemed to start going downhill when Joe Bloggs left and went to Hiby.

I think he has now left them and set up on his own.. I know he wasn't FiiO's software man but he had a good knowledge of how the DAP worked and was able to get things done and resolve most problems. He was also excellent at customer relations.

If you look at the one star reviews on Amazon UK, they total a shocking 32% and most of them are critical of software problems. One bug solved and six new ones introduced.
