Hi James. Not sure if you saw my previous feature suggestion but adding in a slow fade in when resuming play from pause will be very useful and save our ears so we can continue to keep listening to future FiiO products

I also have a question regarding cases...mine has the clear plastic case on it would that provide good protection or should I still look to get the leather case?
Would the leather case fit over the unit with the clear bit on?

yes, it is worldwaide. and the leather case provide better protection and looks more expensive.

yes I saw the settings, but there is not much, just low and high. May be the headphones are the problem. may be 70 Ohm is too much?
Tried the EQ as well. it becomes a bit better, but the LG V10 phone is far ahead. 
To wait for the additional modules?

Certainly the V10 is one of the more serious contenders in the smartphone department. Regarding the difference between the X7 and the V10, there may be software effects in effect on the V10 as well as hardware differences. Take a look at both Poweramp settings and System audio settings to see what audio effects are in effect, if any. Of course, if enabled audio effects account for a positive difference, that's fine too just keep in mind that the same software adjustments can be made to the X7 as well. As for playback software, presently we recommend that you use the included FiiO Music app for the best performance, but 3rd party app performance will get a boost (both in quality and volume) with the next firmware update coming out next week.

I am confident that with a few more modules and the continuous improvement the FiiO X7 is sure to be a very good investment for us.

I am confident that with a few more modules and the continuous improvement the FiiO X7 is sure to be a very good investment for us.

Couldn't agree more....probably the biggest single difference from the competition. I switched from an Ibasso product and can't knock them...for me Fiio has surpassed anything though.

Very good question ! I have already one with the IEM module , i don't need it , i use with an external amp , so i wonder if i return the IEM module , can i have a special price with the incoming  Medium AM2 or the Balanced amp module ? Thanks in advance .
