You should be able to right now. There is a setting in settings for coaux / line out. Port is on top of X7

But that means the signal has already passed through the X7 DAC so that would kind of defeat the purpose of using the Mojo. I'm guessing the poster wants to get digital out before it hits the X7 DAC? I could be wrong, maybe he/she just wants the amp of the Mojo?

As I have posted quite some time ago, you can use Mojo with X7 as long as you use USB Audio Player Pro with USB Tweak 1 enable.

Well, no. Coaxial output bypasses the DAC and is a digital signal. So, if you want digital out you can use coaxial out, or USB out as per ClieOS's post above.

Of course the shared line out / coaxial out jack needs to be set to coaxial. And no, you can't just use the 'amp' of the mojo. Digital input only with the Mojo (USB, coaxial, optical TOSlink).

Lots to explore. 
Have now also a Fiio X7. Use it with headphones from Sony< MDR-Z7. To be honest, the sound is not that impressive with that headphones. not enough volume, not so clear, etc. I use a LG V10 with that headphones. Installed the new poweramp alpha apk. That sound is just amazing. Any idea why the sound is so different? Did I miss something in the settings?
will be nice to hear some opinions.

yes I saw the settings, but there is not much, just low and high. May be the headphones are the problem. may be 70 Ohm is too much?
Tried the EQ as well. it becomes a bit better, but the LG V10 phone is far ahead. 
To wait for the additional modules?

try set the gain to high first and them you may need some time to check out the difference between X7 and lg v10

not, the 1.8 firmware will be released in the day after tomorrow. ( tomorrow is Sunday in China )
