Tip - Neutron player. Has replay gain and some other features which are really cool (spacialisation is great for a speaker like experience). Worth looking into

Very solid advice, Paul! Neutron is indeed a really good Android Music Player! I like some of its other options even more - but it is a favorite.

Come on, that takes a single app press to open, and I think that you can make it start automatically on power-up if you really wanted.

He he... very true. A possible announcement doesn't prevent me from keeping listening music on my excellent X7 (as I type...)... everyday, everywhere.

Neutron is such a badazz app. I have no issue with default FiiO player but I just love Neutron after customizing every color on it...of course

I tend to flick between the two (Neutron and FiiOs Pure Music). The FiiO app is also pretty good with V4A support, but I don't think anything is as feature rich as Neutron

Really looking for a feature. I want to play files in browser mode, but I want that when the folder I as playing finishes playing, I want the app to start with the first file in the next folder. Forgot if FiiO Pure Music does that or Neutron, can you help me?

Use FiiO Pure Music- in settings, turn on "Play Through Folders", and then make sure you browse in folder mode.

Hey guys, I got my first pair of Bluetooth headphones. Sony MDR100ABN, really impressed with them.

But thought I'd share this ... Aptx is indicated at the top sorry it's pretty blurry but you should be able to see it.

Had an Aptx splash screen pop up too when I connected them for the first time.

Sony MDR100ABN are nice had a listen to a pair at a local hifi shop, you'll notice a difference with Aptex

I haven't posted on this thread for a very long time but was hoping someone may have an answer to a problem I have with the/my X7. My X7 was one of the very first. I wanted it as decent DAP (which it is) but also as a streaming player for Tidal & Qobuz. I have always accepted that its wifi performance is weak and so would download to offline libraries. Fiio finally managed to develop the software so that the storage destination could be changed - thank you. However both the Tidal and Qobuz apps suffer the same problem - stuttering. They will play nicely for anything from just a few minutes to much longer and then it starts. The only way to deal with this is to completely stop the app and re-start it. This happens both when wifi is on or off and playing off line albums - I don't stream at all. I've tried clearing the cache, data resets in the apps but without success. All very frustrating! This has happened throughout all of the beta firmwares and the stable release. Any one have any ideas?

Anyone know if the X5 3rd gen has the same issue? I'm assuming that it does as my understanding it is the same firmware. If not I'd certainly look to trade in the X7 for it.
