I got a chance to get the X7 with the 3 amps and 2 cases for about $300. I am very tempted to pull the trigger at that price.

My X7 is running FW 3.3 with a Sandisk 200GB card, Dignis leather case and AM3 Amp. I use it primarily for Tidal offline. Initially, it was awful - noisy, skipping and pausing. Turning off WiFi helped a little. Then I removed all 3rd party apps that use audio - Audible & Amazon Music- and that stopped the noise. Then, Tidal starts pausing randomly after playing for 30 minutes or so. I suspected heat (X7 gets really hot), so I removed the Dignis leather case and now it plays perfectly!!! Anybody know of a case with a builtin cold pack?

Will the X7 ever support AptX HD over Bluetooth?
Nevermind I found the answer earlier in the thread, but I too was mislead by Aptx.com saying that the X7 support AptX HD when I was planning on getting my DSR9BT. Til this day it still says it supports it.

So I think I've softbricked my X7. I can't access the Launcher, I changed from the stock launcher, Launcher3 to Evie Launcher - renaming it Launcher3, rebooted and all I can access is the stock music player now.

I've reset the device using Volume up and Power and also tried inside the Android settings but it doesn't revert back to the stock launcher, I guess it doesn't re-write the changed file, anyone have any ideas?
