Turning off the lockscreen will not spoil anything. There is a completely different setting to disable the control when the display is off. Settings / key-lock settings.
FiiO probably relies on the patience and imagination of its customers - I couldn't find it in the manual or after 2 scrolling
I previously had the Fiio X5 first gen and loved it. Been dabbling with other players but thinking of coming back to the X5iii.
I see post suggesting to root and load a custom kernal. Is there a set of instructions on "how to" among these 1007 pages? I want to see if it's a) something I can do without breaking it and b) if its something worth doing rather than loading my card, scanning and just enjoying the music!
Also, I have a Fiio Q1 Mk2 amp with my Sony DAP. Is it worth trying this with the X5iii? Can I USB to USB to connect them or is it a line out to line out connection still??
I know you all must be bored of these kinds of questions these days but search brings up pages of hits!

LineOut is a secure connection to FiiO Q1, I do not recommend it as an external DAC from USB port FiiO X5-3. 3 times disengaged X5-3 from charging. The X5-3 does not respond completely to the charger until the battery is completely discharged to 0%. And half a day of waiting. Very nice experience ..
On FiiO blog I discovered a guy who got it even before the firmware version 1.2.0. It happened to me at 1.2.0, 1.2.1 and 1.2.4. No response from FiiO to email.
It's not even worth a try, the X5-3 has a better sound and discharges the batteries on 2 devices.
But I use DSD as the DAC Topping NX4 and Chord Mojo used the affected colleague. Nice paradox if it also applies to FiiO Q1 ...
Coax input Q1 does not. That would be OK
Hi, question to the UAPP users: in the library, is it possible to see double albums (or large numbered collections) like a single album instead of repeated cover from disk 1, disk 2, etc.?
I'm sorry, I think i didn't explain myself well (i can't be eloquent enough in English: not first language issues).
I have them tagged with the same album's name, and in the disk field detailed "1" "2" etc. Fiio default player show the albums like one album with 2 (or 3 or whatever) disks, but in UAPP I get different albums.

I just bought a FiiO BTR3 Bluetooth amplifier to add to my X5III to use in some cases when I hide my player and cannot plug my headphones its 3.5mm jack for my security (such as public transports).
BTR3 needs FiiO Music App 1.1.2 to use new EQ feature. I downloaded it on Google Play Store. Unfortunately, this version from Play Store breaks Pure MusicMode.
Where can I download a FiiO Music App 1.1.2 version which is fully compatible with my X5III (firmware 1.2.4) Pure Music mode ?

I plug a charger or powerbank into the USB port and turn on the Vehicle mod. The result is the same as the Pure Music mode, and the battery still has a 100% status - without overheating the player if the battery has already been charged to at least 90%. No fix for FiiO Music 1.1.2 has been released yet. This version of FiiO Music will eliminate the Pure Music mode that only the recovery from TWRP or reinstallation from 1.2.1 helps. Maybe just me.

Please update FiiO Music app to the latest version(Android version 1.1.2; iOS version 1.3.9) if you want to use the new feature EQ from "FiiO BTR3"/"FiiO BT Control" in your mobile phone for help instead.

You could set the settings for BTR3 in the FiiO Music APP of the mobile phone first. The settings could be saved when you are using the BTR3 in other device.
The Android version APP 1.1.2 is not for the X5III.
