Good luck. There's one for $175 in the HF Classifieds. I thought about buying it. Then I slapped myself and tried to remember I didn't need it.

It's just such a good price.

It runs android. Has Play Store and one can instal soundcloud. Incidentally i have it installed and it works perfectly.

I was at CanJam today and asked them about US availability and they said late next month just the the Onkyo DP-X1A.

Hiss is always in the amp stage , the DAC will never hiss with another amp. I'm glad to hear that people like the new DAC in x5-3 more, I actually loved x7 + am3 .

(Still haven't heard x5-3 myself...)

I got a chance to hear the X5 3rd gen at CanJam today and I was underwhelmed. It sounded better than my 2nd gen, but not that much more. Based on all the praise in this thread I was expecting so much more.
 
After listening to the X5 I had a chance to listen to the Opus#1. I felt the Opus sounded much better and it's UI was much more intuitive.

Yes, this works perfectly fine with the Fiio K5.

Ok, thx. But will it add an extra value except for being a docking station? Only if you had hard to drive cans the amp would help?

I used the stock FiiO player app. As for the tracks, it was a mix of Peter Gabriel, Genesis, Cat Stevens, Dave Matthews, Fleetwood Mac, King Crimson, Supertramp and Nine Inch Nails. The source files were FLAC 24/48, 24/96 and 24/192. And I listened thru my Westone W50 with Moon Audio Silver Dragon cables.
