I have been testing the X5III for a couple of days now, but I am on the road today and will only be home tomorrow. I will give you guys some early impression after that. For now, I can tell you that the firmware is based on the new X7 beta firmware with Android Lollipop (v5) - so all the basic functions are already there, but not fully stable yet. Just check tje X7 thread and it will give you some idea. All and all however, it is still very useable and dare I say this is probably the most polished FiiO's DAP to date.

Fiio X5iii V. iBasso DX200??
Though they are in completely different price ranges, the X5iii seems to be giving more things and information to its customers and its public. Maybe because with the DX200 priced so high (around doubled the price), the DX200 has better SQ?
Agh, it is so hard to decide to purchase which one...

I have a question. So I know it's Android based and in pictures you can see the Spotify app on there. Can you download other music apps from the Play Store on to the X5 III? I ask because I'm an Apple Music user and I'm wondering if it would be possible to install the Android app on the X5 III. Thank you.

Edit: Or would it be installable via the .apk file?

Looking forward to your thoughts on this ClieOS. I'm interested in how the volume wheel / knob feels. Is it knurled? Easy to turn? Stiff? Recessed enough to not get accidentally turned? Etc.

I'm also curious if it's easy to fine tune the volume on low gain with low impedance, high sensitivity IEM.

And for the final bonus question, what Opamps are used?

TIA and Cheers!

Tho ie800 are my favorites, Ultrasone dj one pro gets way more listening time lately so I'm actually looking for an over the ear update in a similar price range. Probably I'll try another ultrasone since most other headphones available in Romania aren't bright in this price range...

Not Muses (so I can keep my A5), but refer to the slide shown in this post: http://www.head-fi.org/t/828402/fiio-x5-3rd-gen-2x-akm-4490-balanced-out-dsd-dxd-dts-android-dual-card-slot-mastering-quality-audio/165#post_13095339
