No offense meant, some little things enoy me too. I liked the Fiio slip case that they provided, however, it constantly bugged me that they had not punched the hole so that the blue light sat centrally, further, the border around the screen on the case was wonky, I was constanly trying to get my X5iii to sit square which it never did. I can say that the TuffLuv case fits perfectly square.






Very poor standards for professional release, it makes you wonder if they are so slack with this, how slack is their quality control for the product?

My photos however, were just a quick 1 minute snap, at least the objects are in frame these days, in the past people regularly lost their heads or legs when I took photos.

Hey, Don't worry, I didn't see anything bad with your picture first hand.

X5-3 is a special situation in that it is very reflexive, hard to photo without having your reflection seen. Looks really nice in reality because of this. I clean my smartphone's screen a few times a day anyway, I want to always see things clearly.

Amazon prime music works good. Better than Google play music that can only download into the 2 gig app space. I'm not sure why Google Play Music doesn't have configurable offline paths. Perhaps amazon can only work in the 2 gig app space as well, but it never told me out of space. It would be nice if the development teams would notice this oversight and make it better.
Also, I like the bandcamp app and livemixtapes.com app, and tunein for radio.

Can someone help an old fool out......my X5iii used to display all of my album art (AIFF, M4A, etc), now most of the art doesn't want to display. I have Build Number 1.1.5.

The 'Customize Album Art Image' - click on that and it says 'Select Image' or 'restore to default'......when those folders come up (Screenshots, album) - there are no previews so you can pick.....used to be.....

And lastly....it seems that when I hit the pause hard key and sometimes the soft key on the display - the track starts at the beginning instead of picking back up where it was paused. Sometimes if it has been paused for a few minutes, the app will dump back to the last song it was playing the last time it was turned on (days ago). Just over the last few weeks, it has been acting buggy.....haven't had much trouble before this time period.

I'd do a complete reset of the device. Search on this thread for how to do it, as I haven't so I don't want to give you the wrong sequence. If it was just artwork I'd rebuild database only.

There are a few differences, including the intended sound, DAC, driving power, price bracket. It is very hard to answer your question without more details.

it is impossible until Fiio give us more information. Maybe soon!

I really like the route they are going with AK chips. Really love that sound, just needs some more refinements!

Not sure about the first issue you mentioned. But please try to delete the album folder(internal_sd\FiiOMusic) and reset database then rescan the songs in FiiO Music to see whether the issue stays?

No perviews? I tried in FW1.1.6 seems not meet this issue.

For the last you mentioned, we will report to our enginneers and ask them to have a check. Thanks for you kind feedback.

@FiiO Is that the reason why several 3rd party apps won't see the 2nd SD card?
And if an app doesn't see the second card, should that be fixed by FiiO in the firmware or fixed with an update of the app?

We have contacted our engineers about that. We can't confirm the issue happens because of the firmware or APP by now. And it may take some time for the engineers to estimate this issue. So you may try to contact he developer of the APP for help as well.

Are you using coaxial or USB?

If using coaxial, do you have a TRRS cable with the appropriate wiring (ie., signal on the Sleeve and the ground on Ring2)? Do you have the combined line-out / coaxial setting set to coaxial? Are you plugging the TRRS (four pole) end in to the X5 III and the TRS (three pole) end to the Mojo's coaxial input?

I know they're simple questions but that's all there is to it.

I tested the 1.1.6 FW this week-end.

The issue where the output amplitude would decrease when resuming playing after a pause while the player is connected to the K5 seems to be gone for me, which is great!
However, I still have the DAC lag/latency issue that I reported earlier in this topic.
