Tips & Tricks at your own risk

Change System Font Size to “small”

Ok, display menu setting only allow “normal” and “big” size font, but If you are young (not like me) and want to see more info in the X5 screen... there is a hidden “small” font setting…

You need the “Hidden Android Settings” App, from Google Play. It's an app that shows some hidden settings.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.kasitskyi.hiddensettings&hl=es

Then, look for “Display” option, and choose “small”. Thats all
Don't touch anything more ehhh

A example of the results:

NORMAL

SMALL

NORMAL

SMALL

I don't hear any buzz using the balanced output while plugged

I mentioned right afterwards that I wasn't using it in the proper method. I was using it as a line-out. When I used it with headphones, buzz was gone as well.

I mostly use the fiio app in pure music mode, but sometimes listen to new music with other apps. i have found that the hardware buttons: volume, play/ pause, next /previous song only work about half the time with the third party apps i am using. I use Napster/rhapsody and have also tested with pandora. when i find the buttons are not working a reboot brings them back. . I also use the fiio Bluetooth remote at times, and when the hardware buttons dont work its the same for the remote. Its a little frustrating, and wondering if i am missing a setting somewhere. does this also happen for those using spotify and tidal?

Dear spanner43,
Why the physical buttons of X5III could not function perfectly on some third-party APPs?
A: The button of X5III(X7) is strictly based on Android definition. However, third-party APP would make its own definition while using system buttons. So the button definition of system itself and third-party APP might be conflicted. We couldn't change the button definition of third party APP. Therefore, the play/pause or previous/next track button might not able to work perfectly when using third-party APP (These APPs might work fine on cellphones cause most of the cellphones only have volume button for adjustment and no next/previous track button).

Best regards

I just used my balanced EX1000 and after going all the way left the channel went almost all left with still low volume on right. It was actually inverted so I could see my adapter was incorrect :)
