Better everything - mark my words.

I saw a lot of negative discussion around the new X1, specifically on the firmware. I know folks blow these  things out of proportion, but I can't help but hope they steered clear of a touch-screen style scroll wheel and buttons. If they didn't, well, I have faith in FiiO. They tend to get things right, either the first time, or very quickly after release.

You will be glad to know that there is no similarity between the X1II and the X5III. However, besides a little slow on scanning the library, I really don't find any real negative on X1II. The touch wheel is actually quite good IMO. I remember the old days when FiiO still had 'jumping' issue with the mechanical scroll wheel and those are much (x2) worst than the touch wheel on X1II. In fact, the touch wheel on my X1II has no problem whatsoever. Hopefully any slowness on the X1II will be cured in future firmware, otherwise it is a solid little player.

I figured it was probably quite alright. I was an early adopter on the first gen X5, and despite some rather loud voices in the threads, it worked beautifully from the get-go for me. When I reviewed the X5ii as well, I heard rumblings, but it was also pretty damn flawless.

The problem is that some people these days not only demand perfection, but also believe that if the DAP doesn't cook breakfast right out of the box, it isn't ever going to be good enough

will fly to Beijing to the show on tomorrow afternoon. and trust me there are not regret in the X5 (III). So far the new X5 (III) is the best products in our history.
