@JamesFiiO @FiiO USA @FiiO I was wondering if this device will support bandcamp as well.

Also, is there an official US price yet for this product? I read around $230-300 ish...

Guys,

Can the M9 output DSD signal or the signal is down converted to 24 bit PCM? I'm looking for a DAP that digital DSD signal at 24-88.2 or 24-176.4. Thanks.

Is it possible to install 3rd party apps such another, better music player?
Dear friend,

The M9 runs on deeply customized system. There are four 3rd-party apps preinstalled on the M9, and they are Tidal, MOOV, KKBOX and 网易云音乐(NetEaseCloud).

To ensure system stability, only certain apps in our white list are allowed to be installed. You can copy the apk file of the qualified app to the M9, then open the File Management app, locate and click on the apk file to install it.

The apps in the M9's white list are inlcuding Spotify, Qobuz, Roon and Deezer, and the app download links for them are as follows:

Spotify: click here

Qobuz: click here

Roon: click here

Deezer: click here

Best regards

Dear friend,

No, for M9 the DSD file would not be down converted.

6. FiiO M9 Hi-Res Audio Player丨The Ultimate in Versatility

The M9 can be used as an asynchronous USB DAC with both Macs and Windows PCs. It can also act as a Bluetooth transmitter – hook the M9 to your computer as a USB DAC and then transmit Bluetooth audio to your headset!

For sound quality go for the M9. However, I'm not sure if the M9 supports Tidal.

According to all information at this stage the M9 should support Tidal, streaming and offline. But of course we need someone to actually use it. :)

As long as the M9 uses the original Tidal app I can't see there should be any problems. Be it apk files or preinstalled. The same should be the case with Spotify or any other player.

I intend to use the M9 as a USB DAC, connected to my laptop. I also want the M9 to send the resulting analog signal to a dedicated headphone amplifier. Is the M9's line out a 'true' line out that bypasses the M9's internal amping section? I want to avoid double amping.

Can the USB DAC function be used simultaneously with the LINE OUT function?

Thanks

Only problem is that the best audio quality TIDAL offers is not available on the app
