does anybody know when it's going to be in stock?

You can order it now on amazon.ca but they project to have stock on February 21st (sold and shipped by avgearshop). I am waiting until local stores have stock to try it first. Will likely have to wait until March or so to get a demo of one.

James have you considered something like MusicPiped (this streams any music from youtube) and is a youtube lightweight music only alternative.

EDIT: And wishing you a very Happy Chinese New Year!!

No, FiiO link only works with FiiO Music/default player on the M6 as far as I know. Spotify can be controlled from your phone or other device, but that is a feature built-in to the Spotify app itself.

Spotify incorporates Spotify Connect which links the M6 or M9 to your mobile phone. Also if you load a little app called HiFy onto your mobile phone it will enable Spotify on the M6 or M9 to recognise many streaming boxes to connect to home HiFi or speakers and play music over WiFi.

James, any chance of getting viper android whitelisted? Or hiby music because it has magic 8 ball dsp?

Thanks, and enjoy the long holiday :) I’m a bit jealous as we only get one day at New Years.

Hi all, i’m having a strange issue with my M6 and TRN V80 iem’s. With the stock cable sound is good. But I just connected my new upgrade cable (also TRN, a thicker 8 core cable). And as soon as I start playing music there’s a high pitched squeel sound in the background. Kind of digital squeel. When I stop the music, the noise is still there, for about 15 seconds and then quits (as if the amp or DAC shuts off. As soon as I start the music it’s back.
I connected my earphones with this cable to my iPhone for comparison: no squeel. So it’s something between the cable and the M6. Any suggestions? I’m a bit puzzled

I now have the same combo, and do not experience this. Could be a fault in your upgrade cable?

With the latest update have whitelisted the app TuneIn RADIO, which I use often, I tried to download it from https://tunein-radio.it.uptodown.com/android, I installed it, but when start, tells me that to work needs Amazon Play Store, or better services, the app can not be used. :frowning2:
@FiiO Obviously I do not want it to end up whitelist Amazon services, but there is a version of TuneIN RADIO not linked to Amazon in this way?

Download the APK from here, it's working on my M6 review unit without the need for any other apps/services installed

In this link you'll find the original ones whitelisted by FiiO and their APK links.

Hi, do you also use a different /upgraded cable from the standard cable that comes with the TRN V80? Strangely the upgrade cable works fine on some other sources, like my computer or my iPhone.
And if a cable is broken or shorted, it is broken and there's no sound. It's more like it is an impedance issue between M6 and this cable, but then again, a normal audio cable shouldn't be any issue with impedance at all.

So I'm puzzled what could be the problem. The cable does work, but when I connect my M6, it causes the DAC or AMP to produce a very high pitched squeal in the background.
