@FiiO Will you consider making a smaller music player like M6 but with faster processor and a bit updated Android version. M6 is perfect for its size, i use it while going for runs or walks. A smaller sized music player can be useful to many people.

Unfortunately not Apple Music which is available in my country and imho the best music streaming service. Also the current M6 is way too slow with it's very limited RAM capacity.
It is a fact that the M6 offers a very slow experience as menus. I switched from Sony nw-a45 but I regret it. The only plus is the bluetooth amp mode and more powerful outputs. Unpleasant to use. Maybe it would be better if there was at least a pure music mode. Or it would be great if an alternative non-android os was written. I think this is a stillborn device.
M6 is small and perfect for carrying around. The Spotify version we have for it still works but the homepage for discovery does not work.
@FiiO if a new M6 type product is designed, it does not have to be having very high end DAC or dual DAC setup. Focus on making a small sized player while keeping decent battery and hopefully a recent version of android.
If better processor is used and using the player is fast, it helps will using streaming apps and changing/scanning new music. Please keep AptX codec and LDAC both.
I use Tidal and it's very responsive and works offline. My brother uses Spotify and has no issues that I'm aware of. It's why he decided to buy one actually

FiiO has a Spotify app on their website, it works, but no home screen. It would be nice to have an app that works as well as the current version on the play store.

Probably impossible at this point given the positively ancient Android version on the M6, non-likelihood of an update, and the onward march of time as Spotify releases new versions of its app and makes server-side changes that inadvertently break features on older, unsupported versions of said app.
And besides, it looks like Fiio has gotten out of the budget priced DAP game, in favor of the higher end market. Would love to see future sub $500 options, but I think those days are long gone.

Could anyone recommend a version and apk for the Hiby music app that runs on the Fiio m6? Trying different versions but it will not install beyond "staging app" @FiiO
