Can anyone tell me where I can download the amazon music app for the M6? Fiio announced it today along with a few other apps but I do not know where to find them (I could not find them on Fiio's webpage, including its list of whitelisted apps).

Yeah I guess it has to be added to that list. Did you upgrade to the new firmware? I thought it would install it. Else I'd try apkmirror or apkpure etc

Dear friend,

Here is the download link for the added new apps to the white list:

Amazon Music:Click here

Radio World:Click here

SoundCloud:Click here

TuneIn Radio:Click here

You can copy the apk file of the qualified app to the M6, then open the File Management app, locate and click on the apk file to install it.

Best regards

I usually never stream either but I’be got to admit I’m enjoying the tidal free 3 month trial a lot. Plus it’s nice to have firmware upgrades over WiFi.

My main problem with M0 was getting to the LO setting and using it in the car- which I do a lot. M6 has a swipe down for LO and with the bigger screen it’s easier. I tried the AP80 because it had a swipe up for LO but the hit box detection is off and sometimes you have to hit the buttons several times before they respond.

And I guess Hidizs is horrible with firmware updates and customer service. So little m6 works a charm for me.

If Shanling ever gets around to porting MTouch 2.0 to the M0 I think options like switching to LO will be easier. The bigger screen will help with alot of things I bet and from the youtube videos I have watched it is a much more advanced and functional UI than the Shanling MTouch. I am sure the MTouch will get better over time but for right now the M6 looks to be a better DAP in most areas.

If Shanling considers themselves a small company I am sure Hidizs is tiny by comparison so resources must be very limited. Yes every Hidizs thread I have checked out is full of complaints about the firmware updates or lack there of. I think there are to many small DAP makers for such a small market.

It is true, this is a very very small market so most of the brand can't afford the human cost in the firmware development.

Great job @FiiO and @JamesFiiO on the new firmware. Bringing LDAC receiving to the M6 is fantastic.

Quick question, any chance that there would be a stacking kit for the M6 like there was/is for the X5iii? I think one of the many great things about the M6 is just how good of a source device it is, so having a stacking kit rather than having to stick velcro or something similar to the back of the device would be really useful

Yes the m6 is a joy to use and will have better firmware support like AK. As you know Sony doesn’t usually even need firmware updates because their release firmware is rock solid- maybe one of two to add features and fix the rare bug.

Hidizs is small, but it’s not just the lack of firmware support it’s their horrible customer service and attitude of well basically everything is roses and then once they have your money- it’s bye bye. I’ve experienced this first hand and they will never get another red cent from me.

I can’t fault a company for being small, but I can fault them for biting off more than they can chew and being greedy little f**^s. You and I know you try not to grow your customer base beyond your capacity to serve them in a excellent manner. In the end anyone can offer a good product, but it’s the service you give that ‘keeps’ them a customer and differentiates you between your competitors.

I don’t know about you, but I will spend more if a company gives me excellent service. Because it’s so rare these days.

Anyways Fiio and Shanling are the only Chinese dap manufacturers I have no problem giving my money to.

Hugely enjoying some Spotify on the M6 tonight. This little gadget makes me want to put my "better" DAPs away in a drawer.

I’m sitting here atm doing a bit of work and listening to m6 through es100, and it sounds super duper. Really good Bluetooth performance through LDAC.

Only other thing I want is an dsp suite to mess with. But this tiny thing is packed to the gills with features and performs beyond its meager price.
