Is the software solid out of the box or is it like the M7 that I reluctantly sent back ?
I’m gonna send my current AP60 pro back and get a M6. I’ve owned everything you guys make but if this is an incomplete product
I’ll be forced to give up on Fiio. Please tell us if this works fine right out of the box or not???
Thanks....I’m looking forward to another great product!

M9 and M6 CPU: Samsung Exynos 7270 SoC
M9 DAC: Dual AK4490EN; M6 DAC: ES9018Q2C
M9 and M6: 3.2" 280x800 IPS touchscreen
M9: 60mmx106mmx13.3mm and 133g; M6: 53.3mmx92.5mmx11.5mm and 83g
M9 battery 2350mAh; M6 Battery 1299mAh
Both 2GB + up to 2TB microSD

Not typing it all out - M9 puts out a lot more power, M6 has a lower noise floor.

M6 has Airplay to push past AAC, I gather?

Get the feeling he likes the screen

To be fair the m6 does tick a lot of boxes, I was all set to buy an R3 but might just hang on a while

I’m pumped to get one of these....I haven’t seen them any lower than $179 though....early days I know but $150 was the price Fiio said it would be, the Fiio store on AliExpress is where they are $179.....??
I sound skeptical but I really want this to be a good solid player, not another almost there one.
I still have my original x3 and still use it alot.

Agreed, I'm in the market for a new dap and my finger is hovering over the trigger for a hiby R3, but if the UI on this ' just works' and it meets a couple of my other needs then I may just bag one of these

Heh, the entire video was "the screen"

Though, I'm surprised there isn't a track forward/reverse physical button.
I am actually shocked!

Power button top right and the forward , pause and backward bottoms on the left side from what I can see on there site.
No, they are play (top), volume up (middle) and volume down (bottom) buttons.

The power button is top right, as you mentioned.

Judging from other photos, there do not appear to be forward/backward physical buttons, which is kind of important for 'in pocket control'
