Would an M6 owner be able to comment on Tidal stability on this player these days? I gather that it was a bit sketchy a few months ago.

It is working as it should. Download on SD and master quality is ok.
UI is much more responsive after latest M6 firmware update.

I thought DoubleTwist was gonna be it but sometimes it wouldn't play the next tracks. Neutron crashes sometimes but I'm back on it.

Does the new version fiio music player app (1.10), downloadable from apk website, work fine with m6, I'm asking since Fiio did not yet intoduce auto-update for the fiio music app. I also wonder why many users here download alternative player applications, is it due to the fact that fiio music player is problematic compared to some other apps.

Thanks, I updated the main fw to 1.02 however fiio music player version is indicated as 1.1.0. Maybe it is the case for some, but mine is not 1.10 for sure.

Mine is 1.1.0, just updated to 1.02 as well. Hm.

I think 1.1.0 is the latest player. The Fiio player on the play store is version 1.1.4.

UPDATE: you'll end up with two FiiO Music Player, of course, the original one, and this one.

Well, I was hoping FiiO would fix this but.. the next firmware would take sometime right? Well this is how I do it, impersonating a whitelisted app (in this case the pooor MooV). There might be other ways.

Here's the impersonated apk if you wanna test it out

1) You have to remove MooV if you have it installed just in case
2) It will install hopefully and appear with the greenish icon of moov
3) First time it might ask you if you want to change the launcher from launcher3 to the music play app (of course keep launcher3 always )

Let me know how it goes, of course disclaimer: I hope it doesn't break anything! (it shouldn't).

Tidal has worked very well for me so far. I just got it 2 weeks ago so I guess I missed the unstable period.

Just a question and a bug repair request for Fiio.

The question. Do you Fiio M6 users can see the track progress bar moving in your car when playing audio through Bluetooth? When I use my phone for audio through Bluetooth the progress bar works perfectly. When using M6, progress bar is not moving. In both cases no art cover showing (embedded in FLAC files).

Request for Fiio: when I’m playing music in shuffle mode (all songs) and I turn off the screen, sometimes when I turn on the screen again it’s showing the wrong cover for the song playing at the time. If I skip the song it shows the right cover again. I wish you could solve the bug. I’m using the latest firmware and Fiio Music App.
