Also, according to FiiO's M17 official DAC mode guidance (here), you may need to use their Windows driver as the interface for correct functionality.
Ah yes HQplayer is outputting to the Fiio ASIO driver sorry forgot to mention that

Small PSA: I was using my m17 in usb dac mode fed 768khz PCM from HQplayer. I was using the m17 In low gain at 120 volume and used HQplayer digital volume control. Suddenly the music became full volume and horribly distorted and I had to quickly take the headphones off.

You might think this is a problem with HQplayer but it's only happened with the m17 so far (3 times) and never with other dacs.

I'm glad I had the m17 in low gain otherwise I might have had serious hearing damage. So be careful with the m17 + HQplayer.
Dear friend,

Would you mind trying another music softwares and USB cable to see whether the issue remains? Are there any other certain operation when the issue happens?

Best regards

Is it normal to have battery drain 14% in 13 hours with WiFi disabled and headphones disconnected?

It's a little unusual, and may mean something is running in the background of your M17.
More context is needed, though this could also be a heat related issue; high temperature on a battery can discharge it or cause issues. That's why FiiO added the DK3 fan stand to pair with the FiiO M17.

Perhaps contact FiiO customer services for further advice?

Some app is draining, check how is usage per apps in your battery status. This daps nowadays can install various apps (forums, chats et cetera) but they are not optimized for some.

May also be that the battery needs some initial calibration. Just discharge until it shuts down, let it off and let it charge to 100%. Afterwards I would configure the M17 to stop charging at 85% to enhance battery life. But from time to time a calibration can be useful for correct battery status.

I have my M17 set to stop charging at 85% to preserve battery life.

I've done without any improvement. Battery drain is the same.

Dear friend,

Please try to click the 'enter sleep' option in the homepage to check whether the issue remains?

Best regards

Hello friends!

When listening to Pink Floyd's "The Wall", the sound is briefly interrupted between tracks,
although the recording is made as a whole and there should be no pauses (there are no pauses in Plex).
For me, these interruptions cause suffering.
What could be the matter? Help please.

Is it a pause/silence or noise?
Are you switching between sampling rates?

Check Gapless is enabled for former.

Noise or pop/crackle could be the DAC chip dealing with different sampling rates by resetting.

Fiio have previously mentioned that this problem cannot be totally prevented, unless converting all the songs to the same format and sampling rates before playing them (like Apple iTunes) which is not an ideal solution in itself.

There are no clicks, only an interruption of the sound, it is a short pause
