Question for someone smarter than me: how do you delete albums successfully? I've removed some and they still show up in the FIIO Music player...

Thanks.

Not smarter than you but have you rescan it?

Yes, I did a full rescan.

What seems to be happening is that the albums are removed from the Albums view, but not the Genres view.
Dear friend,

I am sorry that I failed to reproduce the problem.
Please check:
1. Are you using the latest 3.2.0 FIIO Music app? If not, please try to update it first.
2. If you don't mind, please reset the database from the setting menu of the FIIO Music app, then rescan again for check?

Best regards

Resetting the database worked. Thank you!

Good evening,
I have this weird behavior from my M17 that I don’t think should be normal.
If I have the DC charger connected with the DC/Bat switch set to DC, whenever I connect a USB C to the USB 3.0 port, be it an external USB hub to have more ports and ethernet, an external memory, a hardrive or anything other than a fast charger, the DC input gets overriden and the battery starts to drain. The ultra high gain mode is still active so the DC input it’s still recognized just not used anymore apparently. It doesn’t matter if the option to disable the battery charge is on or off, the battery still gets drained. If the option was on, the battery will start drainning, if the option was off and the battery was charging via DC, as soon as the USB C 3.0 gets plugged the battery will stop charging and start discharging. The only way to avoid this is to connect to the USB C 2.0 port, which is less than convenient since I loose transmission speed for my LAN from 1Gbps to 250Mbps, or if I connected a USB hub, to connect a fast charger to the hub.
I know that the USB 3.0 gets priority over the DC input when a Fast charge input is derected, but this is not the case. If I connect a Fast charger to the USB 3.0 it works as it should taking over the DC input and starts the fast charge (which in my opinion should not have been designed like this, the DC should always have priority over the USB C 3.0, the switching should be a configurable option).
But it makes no sense to take over the DC input every time anything is connected to that port, even if it’s not a fast charging thing.
Is everyone else having this issue or is it just me?
Regards.

Dear friend,

When you use the USB 3.0 as output port, you can not use the DC charging. The USB 3.0 and DC port can only be input or output at the same time. When the USB 3.0 is connected to the USB devices, the M17 will be forced to supply power to USB devices and cannot be charged at this time.

Best regards

Hello,
Thanks for the answer, I suspected as much when I connect a device that needs to be powered by the M17, such as a USB hub, USB stick or a hard drive. My problem is that I have the same discharging issue when using the USB C 3.0 in USB DAC mode connected to an iPad or a PC, which both of them have their own power supply. In this case the M17 should not discharge, right? In my case it still discharges.
Regards.

Dear friend,

1. Is the M17 connecting to the DC power supply?
2. Which switch is selected in the M17? BAT or DC?

Best regards

Question: I noticed I had an album without cover art, so I replaced the .FLAC files with ones that had the cover art. I then had the FIIO music player rescan all folders but it didn't update the cover art (it still is blank).

Do I need to reset database for this situation?

Dear friend,

Yes, please try to reset the database and scan again for check? If the problem remains, the cover art you added is the embedded or external cover?

Best regards

I reset the database but the cover art did not appear. It was embedded. I then tried replacing the art and it worked fine.

What should I expect in the future when adjusting cover art or meta-data: should I always reset the database or does the app recognize when a file has been modified? Resetting the database takes a while (I have 12000 songs) and I would hate to lose playlists and favorites.

Thank you!

@FiiO
I cannot install the latest FiiO app via google play store. Neither on my M17 nor on my M11 plus. Any ideas? In addition, I cannot deinstall the app, because of non-root permissions.
I just attempted to update on my 15S and could not.
