Not sure if it was posted here, I've used search but didn't find that, but probably it can be useful. On the Russian 4PDA forum was posted a firmware giving root access.

Please note, I didn't try that, and I don't recommend doing that, as it can be potentially dangerous. I've seen a few comments about successful installation, but I didn't try myself. Also, it's probably will fail your warranty and cause some potential issues. But I just translate a manual from this thread, as many people asked about it https://4pda.ru/forum/index.php?showtopic=954707

It's pretty simple
1. Download the firmware patch: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1sCYKczqCPKC9N8QrbMpva_V-PILEEG15 and put it to the SD card
2. Boot to recovery (turn player off, then start it with power+next track button)
3. Do the data/cache wipe (warning, you'll lose everything in player's memory and revert it to factory settings)
4. Install FW patch, reboot
5. Install Magisk Manager https://drive.google.com/file/d/1-jiJXGwe3criVkeL0WosnY7QpWgJbGgm/view?usp=sharing to use root

If you don't need root access and need only Google Play Store, here is a patched FW with Google Play Store: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1PgnLWSkrkAuBw26yoVWZgelDvlfgRlSF/view?usp=sharing

1. It can be installed via recovery in a similar way via recovery.
2. After bootup, Play Store can be laggy for a few minutes until it downloads updates
3. You will need to certify your device, using the instruction provided here: https://www.google.com/android/uncertified/
4. If something went wrong, you can rollback via recovery, using FiiO's standard firmware

Is there any risk involved in installing the patched FW?

I tried several times but it stucks directly @step 2 (boot recovery). Just a hard reset (power / play) bring the M11 back to normal function.
You have to select power + track FWD NOT back!

Magisk install -> easy and without problems
Google initiating -> easy and without problems
Google play -> up and working fine :)

about a possible risk....you can ask @russia board for risks...here @board. Nobody knows it...

... a positive effect. My BT problems and issues gone with the update... I don't know if it's the wipe / factory reset or the FW hack (incl. root access and google play) or both of them...in addition I installed "root booster" to boost the whole system...maybe FiiO decreased all the system performance to get a better battery life....

WITH the FW hack LDAC normal mode is working fine and without any problems.... in future I will test LDAC qual. mode....

But it's an interesting thing. M7 -> M11 have the same issues with BT LDAC....it seems anything is wrong with FiiO's Android FW in combination with the BT module / SoC!

Thanks so far so good. Finally got UAPP on my M11.

Finally I can apply patched firmware, and I tell you my experience:

After loading patched firmware (Google Play Services only, not root), its necessary to certify the device, but when trying to do it using ADP commands, a message comes out that says: "this is not possible to perform using a stock firmware".
I resolve this downloading an app called Device ID from the developer Evozi, that show the field Google Services Framework Android ID, just tap to copy, and paste on the web provided to register.

After starting the system with the updated firmware, the play sore was updated and it works perfect.

However, the UUAP application, which is the application that we all would like to have in operation, is not compatible.
If we look for it in the Play Store, it does not appear in the search, and if we link it from outside from a web page for example, a message comes out that this app is not compatible with the device.

I tried downloading an apk, installed it in that way and registered it through the Google Play Services, the app opens, but it works badly: the album view does not fit the screen, instead of squares, the albums have rectangular shapes and everything looks stretched.
Regarding the sound, it does not detect the internal DAC, and reproduces the audio through Android, with the limitation of resampling everything to 44.1.
It is frustrating to know that although we now have google play services functional, the app has yet to be developed to include the M11.

If anyone is interested, I can upload screenshots of how bad the application looks on the M11.

All fine on the M11Pro, where did you download the apk? best source is install on your phone and use apkextractor, you may have an old build/hacked verison ?

Also detects the dac and playing at 192khz

Maybe different for M11

Playstore worked without device id issues.
Also I didn't wipe before installing.

I downloaded the apk from apk4ll, it's a cracked version 5.4.1.
I didn't know there was an apk extractor.
Since I don't have an Android phone, I'm going to extract the version from my other DAP, an Onkio DP-X1A.
I will try today at night, and tell you.

Thank you very much!

I got the "not compatible with your device" installed the latest version from my phone and it works perfectly. Though UAPP does not detect internal DAC. Doubt it every will seeing the M11 is not "playstore" compatible.
