I am not writing it for me but for YOU.
YOU should check it for YOURSELF because YOU will know than if YOUR M11 is defective or not because Q5s and M11 are very similar devices so if Q5s has problem in firmware then M11 may also have the same problem.
I don't want you to solve my problem but give you info that YOU may have problem similar to my one.
People should cooperate, it is better for all.

Thanks for putting this out there but I’ve been playing DSDs with the M11 for the past few days and there are no channel issues. I don’t use the M11 as a DAP so if that’s the only instance it happens, I’ll probably never see it.

No problem.
I also never noticed that and nobody else until I played some test DSD album for speaker setup with tracks like "Now you should hear me from the left side" and I have heard it from right.
After I published this problem yesterday in Q5s thread and sent it to Fiio support many other people confirmed this bug.

Thanks for the update. I'm going back to the store and let them check it. Hope this bug does not happen to anyone because it's dangerous to the ears.

No worries and good luck :)

It’s happened to me quite a bit with balanced output. It’s even happened a few times when the unit wasn’t charging. I always press play before putting my IEMs in now. I just hope it isn’t doing damage to me IEMS.

It’s a very dangerous and serious problem. Fiio are aware of it but I’m not sure how seriously they’re taking it. I’ve read about other users experiencing this issue on this and other forums.

Sh1t this is not good news, I'm not having these issues but am now nervous. @FiiO whats the status of this issue?

Does it only happen with 4.4 balanced? I’ve used 2.5mm balanced since day one and never had this issue even once, while charging or otherwise.

The trouble is the issue could be related to a number of variables. Such as file type/bitrate, playback settings (such as resume Track position), filter, etc etc

It could even be triggered by a combination of such variables.

It may be hard to diagnose but I have sent details of all of these to Fiio on request (albeit to no response).

My ciem are fully inserted and I played a song then a loud "KSHHSHSHSHSSHSHSH" played even when I paused the player. I panicked and unplugged the cable right away.

What do you do when that happens?

Both 4.4 and 2.5 unfortunately. All my music is Apple Lostless and I had resume track position set to on. I’ve just turned this off (as I think it might be the culprit) so will see if I still experienced it.

Yes - It still continues even when you hit pause. I find that unplugging/replugging the cable usually does the trick.
