Wow, great advice. Good thing I don’t use playlists!I haven't tried the M11 yet, but I suspect it works like every other Fiio. If so, try this:
1. Export playlist in .m3u8 format (I think M3U will work as well).
2. Open Exported playlist in notepad.
3. Press enter at the top to create an extra line, and paste: #EXTM3U
4. You will need to change the pathing of your playlist to match the path of the MicroSD's on your M11. If you are only using 1 MicroSD this will be simple. If you are using 2 MicroSD's, however, you will need to change both paths to match the MicroSD card. Just use the "find replace" function in notepad to do this, replacing all unique portions of the path with their new path on the Fiio player. If your playlist spans 2 microsd's you will need to divide your music collection into two folders on your PC, and create your playlists like that. Then transfer those folders to your SD's, maintaining the exact same folder structure, otherwise SD spanning playlists won't work.
5. Do a "find and replace" and replace all \ with / .
6. Save and place anywhere on your Fiio. To play the playlist, just navigate to it and select it.
As a sample, this is what it should look like before you format:
D:\music\FLAC Archive\tf2\Low Anthem, The\2009 - Oh My God, Charlie Darwin\01 - Charlie Darwin.flac
D:\music\FLAC Archive\tf2\Low Anthem, The\2009 - Oh My God, Charlie Darwin\02 - To Ohio.flac

You don't need the "tf1" folder, those are just my way of distinguishing between the files meant for different SD cards.
This is what I have always done, but it's from the x5iii, so the paths could be different. I think it might be possible to use relative pathing as long as the playlist is placed in the root directory of the SD on which the music it lists is contained, but I have dual cards so this has never worked for me. If you have dual cards, you will have to edit the paths to include the full SD locations.

Hi James, I placed an order for the M11 a couple of days ago and it still says awaiting shipment. Would you be able to give me an update on the likely timeframe for my order please? Cheers
Order number: 102820232307854
sorry , our forwarder is in holiday so we can only arrange the shipment after Dragon Boat Festival , that means your order will be shipped on 9th, June.
Stay updated on FiiO at their sponsor profile on Head-Fi.

I'm searching for a full protection case with a belt clip - not just a simple leather case without any front protection. Not sure if anyone's posted the DD case for the M11 in here. I don't remember seeing it in any of the recent pages. Only 10 left on Ali, $36 USD. I'm not big on cases myself, but this one looks pretty nice.

I've made a small comparison video of M11 and X7-II, if anyone is deciding between this two models
There’s definitely something about FiiO’s Bluetooth output. It was very low on the M9 and it’s very low on the M11. In my car, for example, Bluetooth from the iPhone is loud at normal (30%) volume levels, while on the M9 and M11 I’m pushing 80% or 90% just to get decent volume. Switching off absolute volume in developer options does nothing either. So it’s not just you.So just tried shure 846’s bluetooth and sounds via bouetooth very underhwleming vs cord.

I agree bluetooth sound volume is too low in m9 so if this is the same in m11 so it is a problem. Will wait for fiio comments. There’s definitely something about FiiO’s Bluetooth output. Thanks Cleg,
Nice comparison. James himself said that X7II is still their best in terms of sound quality.
I think whoever bought X7II especially for it's Android/streaming capabilities will definitely love M11, it will be a big upgrade (minus Google Play Store).

yes, still it is that's why I'm waiting for future M13 (or whatever it will be called) with such impatience

@FiiO
What gives? The bluetooth on my iphone 7 is way better than my m11?
I thought moving onto an “hi res” bluetooth would be better but this is disappointing...
