FiiO Earbuds Discussion & Impressions Thread

So the FF3s are closed-back then, and the sound leakage comes only from the front of the driver?
Does this mean when i switched from Bal to Crisp foams, they now leak even more sounds to the outside?

the ff5 sound different

with the ff3 i increase the sound field by 13% but with ff5 it sounds bad so i leave it at 0, due to open back

those raindrop shaped holes on the back are the open back, so they let it more outside sound

the ff5 sound more natural if your in a quiet setting or have no access to virtual surround / soundfield options in your software to aritificallly increase the sound stage on the ff3

1. Your sound quality scale, a quality entry-level earbud model FF1

The FIIO FF5 and FF3 have proven themselves to be well-received members of the FF family, with their precise positioning and their unique yet well-executed design winning over the hearts of many.

We wanted to allow even more listeners to experience the sound quality of the FIIO FF series. Thus, being careful to retain the unique design and qualities of the previous FF earbuds in an optimized affordable package, we bring you the newest and most junior member of the FF family – the FIIO FF1.

2. Extra-large driver in its class, grand sound

The FF1 features a large 14.2mm dynamic driver, not common in its nominal class. This driver not only democratizes high-end driver materials to be more affordable, it also introduces a new acoustic design. This driver is part of the second generation of dynamic drivers of FIIO FF series. Thanks to its scientifically-informed design, the resonance frequency of the FF1 driver helps to acquire more extended, dynamic and textured bass for an overall grander sound.

3. Breathtaking sound

The driver and its diaphragm are the core of an earbud, being where sound is generated. In order to provide sound quality beyond its nominal class, we democratized high-end driver materials to be accessible at an affordable price. Not only is the FF1’s driver highly rigid and lightweight with sufficient damping[1], but a special suspension system for the gasket was specifically designed for the FF1 to allow the driver to move better. This results in better quality and robust bass, sweet mids and vocals, for a sound that simply oozes atmosphere.

To this end, the FF1 provides you with more powerful features:

· Two colors available, obsidian black and racing silver, better matches your OOTD;

Hola! Sorry I can't open your link, but the FF1 doesn't have the universal 0.78mm ports---due to some design requirements---an oval port will be conducive to a comfortable wearing and sleeping experience. We have plans to release a balanced upgrade cable for the FF1, and of course the cable of the upcoming FF3S will also be compatible with the FF1.

great, a new FF3s sounds promising. Any plans to upgrade the flagship EM5 too?

Nope, the FF series has replaced the EM series.
fair enough, if you do something like an FF7 or similar than :dt880smile:. As the FF5 and FF3 which I also own are more tuned to consumerlikings, the EM5 still is miles ahead regarding resolution, Soundstage depth, Imaging, extension aso. I understand that the tuning as neutral as it is might be boring to many, but we still need an upgrade for the neutral leaning audiophile folks with more modern driver, but same out of head middle of a concert hall präsentation and dead flat frequency response as the new landmark in Earbuds. At least, thats what I am hoping for, since the EM5 became my everything headphone that made me sell some 2k Overears and IEMs.

Does the Type-C to 3.5mm female adapter have built-in DAC? I'm using Samsung S23 Ultra and I am afraid that the adapter doesn't work with my phone. Samsung phone requires adapter with DAC, not like Xiaomi, Vivo, etc.. Please try it with a Samsung phone and let me know if it works or not
