Fender IEM (Aurisonics) Impressions, Reviews & Discussions Thread

Your FXA7 seem to function normally, this is exactly how I remember from along demo in Singapore when compared to ASG2.0/2.5.
Bass is less present, which was disappointing coming from a long series of bass-heavy ASGs...
And upper mids felt recessed, which was also a departure from all ASGs.
In terms of treble, I don't remember a large difference, but since I don't have my ASGs anymore, I can't compare again.

If you add the lesser built quality, it was really disappointing.
SureSeal tips had very polar reviews: some people love how they stick into ear canals, but others like me hate them because they're earwax magnets and get dirty very fast.

Yeah, the SureSeal tips are dirt magnets. Not only attracting ear wax but also other things.

I wouldn’t say the FXA7 is dissapointing though, cuz in the end they aimed to deliver an IEM that’s different in tuning with the ASG and the Kicker series. One thing that FXA7 does better than the ASG 2.0 is that the sub bass is more noticeable than it is on the 2.0. Though odd enough the 2.0 felt smaller in my ears than the FXA7, perhaps because of the eartips I use.

Hey guys, this has probably already been talked about already but Im gonna ask anyway. :) Just curious what everyones thoughts were about the best DAC pairing with the FX series IEMs. Me personally, I have the FXA2 and the FXA7 paired with the GO2Pro Infinity with a Jitterbug inline in balanced mode. And the sound I get out of them is simply stunning. Especially the FXA7. I also have the Dragonfly Red, but the GO2Pro Infinity blows it out of the water IMO. I've heard the MOJO is better for sensitive IEM's and is slightly better than the Infinity but I unfortunately never heard it.

I’m looking at DACs right now too since I usually listen to music on the go. Using my iPhone 5S to drive the FXA7 seemed to be not enough (though it’s not bad). I’m considering the XB10 due to its Bluetooth functionality and I can pair it with my 7 Plus if I want to.

Hope someone can answer your question cuz I also want to learn more about some good options for the FXA7.

According to the Facebook of Soundwave Audio HK, Fender appears to have revealed a new model using two pins connector like the old ASG series, while custom made models are also displayed. Anyone got a chance to have a listen to them or got any information on the new models revealed?
(damn I'm a bit excited lol)

There is a FXA11 announced. All i know is that it has got a 14.2mm DD and unknown amount of BA. It is a hybrid model. I think they are it is demo/display at the Hong Kong AV show right now (?).

Specs update after some digging on internet:
FXA11 (what it's temporarily named) is a hybrid IEM that uses a 15.2mm Dynamic Driver and 4 Balanced Amateur Drivers, connected with 2 pin connectors.
And their custom models are back.

Got into the exhibition last minute today and had a run with the FXA11 (like, after lining up for half an hour). Appearance-wise, the FXA11 is really attractive, with a matte black outer shell and dark blue semi-transparent inner casing. Interesting thing to note: unlike the FXA7 and others, it has a metal filter tube (not sure what that’s called) instead of the standard 3D printed plastic one.

Due to the amount of drivers in there, the FXA11 is indeed quite bulky and heavy on ears. Sound signature-wise however, FXA11 is quite different from FXA7. The high frequencies are much clearer and higher-mids also improved, which kind of removed the irritating higher-mods performance of the FXA7 I have. And needless to say, the bass of the FXA11 is a beast with its 15.2mm DD.

I sort of regret the fact that I bought my FXA7 after trying the FXA11, but then looking at the price tag, FXA7 does a really good job at its price and who am I kidding I can’t afford the FXA11 anyways

FXA11 will retail at HKD12800, approximately 1630USD. From what I heard from Letsgo Audio’s booth, first batch will be of limited quantities but they’re accepting preorders.

Aside from the new FXA11, Fender also showcased their custom made models. I don’t have any details about them though, cuz I didnt have the guts to ask lol
