FEARLESS Audio IEM's Discussion/Impressions

I'm using a HiBy R5... Have any pointers on MSEB settings?
I have the older R3, non-pro version and only played with MSEB for a short time, didn‘t find it that useful.
I‘d try to lower the 4kHz by 3-5dB, if that is not enough, maybe reduce 8kHz by 2-3dB, and you could also try to lower the 250 and 500 Hz points by 2-3dB, see if you like that.

I couldn't find that on Amazon, where did you buy that pack? It sounds perfect to find the right size / seal / insertion depth.
I initially purchased on Amazon, but the seller was Audio46. I have purchased additional Final tips from them directly. This is a good option, b/c it includes a handy case, and the adapters if you wanted to use it on an IEM with really narrow Nozzles (Etymotic, Shure, Westone).

BTW, the JVC FDX1 also has a peak at around 4KHz. For a while, I really couldn’t stand it w/o a lot of EQ. I later figured out that the particular Comply tips I was using were exacerbating the problem. Now, I use the Final Type E tips, and the sound is great. Much smoother, w/o any EQ.

I’m late to the party, but I joined the club yesterday with the S8P.

Hey congratulations for your new IEM. This might be mucho too ask but, could yo take some other pictures of your S8P and post them? I'm planning to buy a customized pair of S4s but I can't decide between the CG47 or CG33 faceplates, nor the colour of the shells and you might help me a lot :D

Since you asked so nicely

Just some quick pictures I snapped. FWIW, I prefer more mono-colored faceplates, yet these look real classy. Hope this helps!

I like the color of your set more than my Lancelot, but I still think that Fearless makes some really great looking and sounding iems.

I bought a pair of Fearless S8F yesterday from the trades here. My first ever Fearless IEM, I have Audiosense T800, KZ C-16, and lately some planers. I lucked out with timing yesterday after looking for this model for awhile and along with new DX160 (2020 in awesome metal flake Blue to die for) will be my newest combo. I’ve never heard a Fearless IEM before but read alot and the S8F keeps popping up did I do good folks?
My signature has my current favorite IEM rotation and these should immediately fit in...any advice would be helpful and appreciated thanks!

Hi mate
Currently have a set of T800, and wanting to jump to the fearless S8 (not sure what prefix yet F, P, Z) can you tell if it's worth the jump?
Getting anything delivered these days is a nightmare to Australia anyway

When they get here I’ll check them out and come back here to let you know.

Just found out that S8f produces a hissing sound at high gain but its fine on lower gain on Dx150 with amp6. The surprising part is that my flc8s which has just 11 Ohm impedance doesn't have this problem on same setup. Anyone else experienced the same?
Do you find the Fearless 8's to be a significant upgrade from the FLC8s? Im looking for something new and have stumbled across Fearless. I listen to my FLCs with the Red, Grey, Gunmetal combo. Thanks!

Also I'm a little nervous about that reported hiss if I do take the plunge from the FLCs to the Fearless S8F. Use a Dragonfly Red as my DAC and usually listen to music off an iphone. Any thoughts?

The DragonFly Red should be low-noise enough, but I would not recommend using the S8 series out of a 2-volt amp without an independently adjustable volume control. One glitchy burst of static at 100% with 112 dB/mW sensitivity IEMs is like having a pistol go off near your ear. If you insist on using the DFR, I'd suggest pairing it with an IEMatch. Don't end up like this guy: https://www.reddit.com/r/headphones/comments/dfkv7j/psa_ultra_sensitive_iems_are_dangerous/

I'd recommend either the ES100 or BTR3 instead depending on your needs regarding build quality and feature set. The former feature a better EQ implementation and a volume limiter, while the latter has better build quality, a more durable USB-C port for wired use, and AptX LL support.
