It can be, not sure about cost, but I did request the balanced cable, since my new DAP will have that option

I've received the Roland yesterday and listened like 10 hours, so my early impression is quite positive. Roland has some special tuning for who like dark sounding earphone. It has nice powerful, authoritative bass and It will be more controlled with the burn-in process I believe. Mids are laid back and vocals are slightly forward. Trebles seems laid back and lack of details at the very first time to listen, but details are definitely there and when get used to its tonality, all the details become more prominent. Just like the earphone, my ear also need some time.

trying to avoid t800 due to QC issues.
