My overall, thoughts on the IE600, best out of the box with what is included stock. Since the 3.5mm only comes with the IE300, the IE600 is better than the 900 for my ears. I was just curious about trying the 4.4mm on the IE300 and was just stunned. Don’t be on the fence about getting the IE600. It really is that good and very easy to drive.

Has anyone used moondrop spring tips on the IE 600? They were my favorite tips for my IER M9 so they’ll likely be the first ones I try out when the IE 600 arrives

I have them. They don't pair too well for me. Makes them too thin sounding.

So interesting! I used them on the M9 because I thought they increased the bass to satisfactory levels while maintaining everything else I liked about the M9. Obviously different IEM’s will gel with different tips differently so it’ll be interesting to tip roll a bit more

I went on and put them on to reconfirm my thoughts and yes they will reduce bass overall and in this case makes the sound anemic paired with ie600, sounding more close to harman upper mids (boosts upper mids). I also feel they don't fit well which is probably why i hear reduced bass. I use the spring tips with my KZ ZS7. Sounds and fits well with them. Pairs well in general with bass heavy sets.

But again as is with this hobby. What I may find thin you may find ideal. Overall if you feel you want to get rid of bass and increase treble presence from stock tips then spring tips are for you. I'd steer away from these. Spinfit cp145 / cp100 pairs great with these.

Point to note if the stock config sound good, no need to fomo :) Everyones ears are different and so will be the fit. Listen for your needs don't over think it too much.

As I use the IE600 for lying down in my bed.. It's rather difficult to find proper tips which doesn't change the tonal balanced when the head is moving on the side on a cushion..
I just got the new Spinfit W1 from Amazon Japan ... I use a M on the left and a S on the right ear (Usually I use between L and ML tip size), they seems to be the best I could find till now (I tried something like 15 or more tips types). I was using till now the CP155 (L and M), but the W1 is staying sealed in almost any position.
With the IE600, I don't regret so much not to be able to use my IE900 (out of order for a while).. I enjoy the tonal balance without PEQ of the IE600, it is a real fun.

I had the same experience and found the Springtips increased the spiciness in the treble a little which is something I'm trying to keep in check. I'm not a big fan of Springtips for most IEMs though and I know some people love them on everything.

Right now I'm using Final E L eartips and I usually wear M. I plan to try out some SendaEarFits and CP145 Spinfits though. The new Spinfit W1 tips that newworld666 mentioned look nice though as an alternative to the CP145 (CP100 weren't working well for me).

Latest iteration of tip swap. Its getting ridiculous at this point but these are my tips rn. 😂

Just the centre of the stock smalls are inside the azlas. Yes I cut them off. I realised I wouldn't need smalls ever anyways. Courage paid off.

And they are comfortable too unlike the previous version I made. Sounds quite close to stock actually. They sound like they have a little more upper mids relatively. And bass is slightly less emphasized.

Spinfits cp145 sound the best to me though after a lot of experimenting.

Has anyone seen this go for $500? I plan on budgeting for these and get them perhaps at the end of the year.

Very unlikely these hit $500 on sale by years end, maybe ~$600. They just launched in NA and EU markets a few months ago and retailers were easily selling out inventory. In the last month it looks like inventory is in-stock for NA, not sure about other markets.

I think there's too much hype for them to drop sub $600 this year but the competition is always heating up. Sennheiser can also rest on their name a bit more than other IEM manufacturers so there's less need to drop price.

My IE 600 is on the chopping block... bought a pair of Meze Empyrean and something had to go from the current collection.
It was between the IE 600 and the CA Andromeda S; the CA just pipped it due to its more relaxed presentation which doesn't sacrifice detail. I will however, miss the IE 600's exemplary bass!
