yes that was part of my thinking: the Andro S is relatively rare and I should definitely hang on to it.The Andro is irreplaceable you did the right thing keeping it

For anyone who has compared ie600 and ie900, how's the difference on soundstage and imaging?
Similar? Minor difference? Or significantly less?

IE 900 has trickery in its tuning to sound larger than the IE 600. Think "Club" or "Concert Hall" EQ preset.

I own both ... I wait the IE900 to come back from Sennheiser services during the 2 years waranty (Right drive failure). But the IE600 is a real pleasure to use, with a rather funny airy highs sound signature (I like the nice cymbals of drum kit) and of course typical deep DD low frequencies .For anyone who has compared ie600 and ie900, how's the difference on soundstage and imaging?

The Ie900 is a solid DD IEM, maybe a bit more realistic but not really as airy highs.. The sound quality is really not so far from my absolute reference Sony IER-Z1R.
Soundstage ... these are IEMs not Headphones, ther is a real margin for improvements for both. Soundstage is not really deep, like all IEM I use.
If I had to keep only one...I don't know !

It's a bit too early to decide as it's a bit more than one month I own the IE600 and 14 months the IE900...I wait to IE900 to come back from Sennheiser as I need more time to select.
Hello friends, Happy Sunday!!
Can you guys please recommend me any aftermarket cable for the IE600? stock cable is a bit meh.

null-audio.com builds custom cables and offers Sennheiser IE300/600/900 connectors as an option. I bought an "Ethos Series MKV" cable from them with those connectors and love it, it's great with the IE600.Can you guys please recommend me any aftermarket cable for the IE600? stock cable is a bit meh.

Plussound Audio also offers IE300/600/900 connectors as an option. Had a X6 Series Custom Cable built for my IE600s

Just got the IE 600 in and had about 30 mins to listen! Luckily came in the same day as my Null audio cable so I was able to connect them right away. The combo is fantastic and the Null audio cable is really, really high quality.
Sound-wise I absolutely LOVE this IEM. Once you get the right fit, the bass is perfectly slammy and present in the mix while not overtaking the mids in any way. Also just love how airy these are for an IEM and how crisp everything sounds. Need a lot more listening time but very impressed so far.
Only thing I’m iffy on is the sensitivity. Unfortunately when I’m just using this with the lightning adapter to my iPhone (which I prefer for travel), I don’t have much headroom at all and nearly need the volume at the top while listening. Are there any other portable DAP’s that are super super small like the lightning adapter that would give a little extra oomph that people recommend?

You could try the Moondrop Dawn. It's USB only, but could probably work with the DDHiFi lightning to USB adapter.Just got the IE 600 in and had about 30 mins to listen! It must be the cable. I’ve listened to the IE600 and IE300 at 45% volume no problem using lightning connectorJust got the IE 600 in and had about 30 mins to listen! Congrats and welcome to the #IE600Club! I'll defer to the community on a portable amp/DACamp but you'll have a blast once you find the perfect mate. I use it with a DF Red often and noticed a huge improvement in the openness and backdrop vs the generic adapters.Just got the IE 600 in and had about 30 mins to listen! Whoah weird! Let me try with the stock Sennheiser cable and see if that is indeed the case
Same here and my ears have been quite abused over the years. Can’t imagine how deaf I would be at full volume. It must be the cable. I’ve listened to the IE600 and IE300 at 45% volume no problem using lightning connector
