I don't see an indentation for the nozzle lip, so my guess is that the material needs to be flexible enough to accommodate the difference in diameter. I have access to a ceramics studio for the purposes of mold-making and I'm going to give making my own a shot

Nope, though I do have the CA tips on order for another iem. Just been reading up on them from info posted in this thread by Naivesound and subguy. Also CA themselves don't recommend the tips for iems with smooth nozzles as there is nothing to stop them sliding off.

Looks like silicone to me. Seems like Perfect Seal have a way of keeping them on the nozzles that Custom Art don't.

I’d love to hear more impressions as you’ve spent more time with them. I’ve also been told the Janus D was not that good of a pairing with the LX.

Yep I was also recommended it from ea also over the Thor 8 wire but the Thor 8 wire seems to be everyone’s preference from what I’ve read. I haven’t bought either though, waiting to see more impressions.

I will say one thing, the D aesthetics are lovely.

There is a Cu version in the FS section right now for $2500, that is a fair price I reckon.. I've been eyeing it..
