I’ve always preferred Spinfits, but I’ve found that the tips tend to slide off the universals (ESR & Bravado). I’ve had to pick the eartips out of my ear a few times.

Yah, I found I had to replace the tips fairly often to prevent that. I once had a tip get stuck in my ear near the beginning of a 5-hour plane ride, and I dropped it when trying to remove it. The plane was dark and I couldn't find it. I basically just cried the rest of the flight, unable to listen to music or watch a movie. That's when I decided to go custom.
Quite. I've made it an unofficial policy of mine not to buy iems with some way to keep the tips on securely. I've had more than enough of taking an iem out of my ear when a supervisor wants a word at work and found the tip left in my ear. Well that and the fact that no iem seems to fit properly anyway!
yeesh, all this talk makes me even more excited for my incoming customs :|. i've always been so annoyed with tip stuff, especially bc my left and right ears aren't the same.
