I don't know if anyone has tried out the pairing but I got myself a little ALO CV5 amp (half price deal on BF was too good to pass up) and the Phantom is clearly enjoying being paired to that hybrid amp with a touch of tube

I got myself ALO CDM for $1K on BF too with $500 off to try out with my Phantoms (on order) besides the DX208TI.

Here we're all normal.

I yowled about the pw 1960 being expensive, then a month and half later I bought the Janus D.

I'm legitimately curious A to what y'all do for a living to be able to afford the high high end stuff.

Being in college, I had to put money aside for a few months to be able to save up for my first custom I orders on black Friday.

NONE of my friends even own equipment above $100. Then again, they don't know what they are missing out on.

And yes...I already know I'm crazy about what's in my ears too.

You could say that but for a college student it is also expensive if his or her music tastes are in the area of high end “head-fi!”

While I don’t doubt for a second this is a fabulous cable, it’s also spectacularly expensive!

The best I've heard with the LX so far is the Thor II 8 wire cable. Other notable cables are the Leo II and Lionheart.

Thanks a lot for this information. I’m really looking to try my Lionheart with my LX. It’s good to know someone has ACTUALLY heard this combination and liked it.

True statement. I purchased the janus d and thor ii 8wire for the LX only to realize I like the stock cable the most. Good thing phantom pair with janus D is a perfect match.

In response to david and the cv5 which I also purchased on black friday, the pair up with LX is unbelievable. When you plug them in a faint hum but even in the quietest of passages it does not bother and I'm very sensitive to hiss. It's the best the LX I've heard thus far. Haven't tried the phantom on it yet.

I’m not familiar with the cv5 at all. Do you have anymore insights into what you like so much about it with the LX?
