I am obsessed with the vocal clarity on the Gaea is there even an upgrade in the aspect for female vocals? I was thinking about getting the annihilator, but I’m not sure if it will be worth the price coming from the Gaea for vocals... any advice?
Gaea really has one of the best level punch and dynamic out there. The bass is very powerful yet extremely well controlled. Vocals clarity on Gaea is like removing the last piece of glass that seperates you from the stage.
Very nice.

Diminishing returns, Gaea already does the job. If budget is not an issue, go for it.

Thank you for the reply I think I’ll stay with Gaea . do you have a recommended ear tip to get the most out of the vocal clarity?Diminishing returns, Gaea already does the job. If budget is not an issue, go for it.

I would start off using stock ones. Get a listen, think about changing when it wears out.

I think I understand you.
Not on the audio discussion, but if we had a competition for aesthetics, the Gaea would get my vote within any IEM (Universal) in the market in a long time. The whole theme of the name, then the cable, hardware and IEM itself. hard to think of anything getting close to it.

For me, the design became quite a powerful incentive to familiarize myself with the model. I knew nothing about this sound, and was pleasantly surprised. Not on the audio discussion, but if we had a competition for aesthetics, the Gaea would get my vote within any IEM (Universal) in the market in a long time. As for the design, these colors are something I would hardly wear, it is very different from my everyday style. However, despite all this, the aesthetics of the model are really great. I agree with you, if there was a contest for the most beautiful IEMs, the Gaea would be among the leaders.

I think we all agree that Effect Audio hard ware design for its product is always on point. Talking about paying attention to details.

I recently got a chance to compare both the Cadmus 8W and the Cadmus Founder’s Edition (FE), and I’m sure many of you are curious as to how they compare.
In essence, the Cadmus FE has the DNA of the Cadmus 8W. While to my ears, I do find them to sound quite different, you can tell that the cables are related.
The Cadmus FE a substantially fuller sounding midrange as compared to the Cadmus 8W. The soundstage is taller and goes deeper and much more expansive than the Cadmus 8W. Detail retrieval is significantly better on the Cadmus FE as well.
I think the most impressive characteristic of the Cadmus FE to me is how Effect Audio can have the midrange sound much more substantial, without adding warmth – which doesn’t taint the clarity that the Cadmus 8W has which is one of its strongest points.
It is a truly musical sounding cable, but without sacrificing the cleanliness and effortlessness that the Cadmus 8W is so well known for.

I’ve paired this with my FiR Audio Radon 6, and it’s one of my favorite pairings thus far. It gives the Radon such an immersive listening experience. The synergy that the Radon 6 has with its amazing stock cable is a tough match, but to my ears, the Cadmus FE is able to elevate that experience while staying true to the Radon 6’s tone and balance, while bringing the midrange and vocals to life.
To date, I think this is one of the best cables that Effect Audio has come up with. Shoutout to @JordonEA for letting me experience this wonderful cable.

This is very interesting because, broadly speaking, it's rather the same things that we see between the standard Ares S 8w, and the Founders Edition.

There is therefore a desire to tune the FE versions in this direction :
- more complete sound,
- lush tones and timbres, especially the medium part,
- overall best technical but musical chops,
- more expanded soundstage,
than the regular versions

These are my thoughts about the FE. Lots of photos and a detailed description of what the gold plating on UPOCC does for half of the Cadmus 8w cores do for your sound.

This weekend I mainly listened with the Cadmus FE + Warbler Prelude (out of LPGT) combination...
Some time ago I posted about the Prelude + Cadmus 8w. This combination already delivered some pretty good synergy to my ears, but the FE takes it (as to be expected?) even a step further. More details, tighter lows, sweeter/richer sounding mids/vocals and an obvious wider soundstage... not much left to wish for imho
I enjoyed reading your review @Dsnuts and some beautiful detailed pics on top of that! As in the end synergy is always key in this hobby, was there a specific IEM + Cadmus FE combination that stood out for you?
Oh... and then one more thing: this weekend I also occasionally got distracted by some kind of upcomming storm...
Although it seemed to be still far away on the horizon, I could already hear that magical thunder in a clear and spacious way like never before!!!
What could it be? It was sunny weather after all. Oh well... maybe it was only a (day)dream
