dx90 goes for 400$ , dx100 went for 800$

i will take any day without thinking the DAP that performs at 80% of another hi-end dap for 50% of its price

 
I think the DX100 went for $1200 when it came out.
 
What about convenience? The DX100 is a heavy brick that might not fit in pockets too well, might as well group it with the Hugo or other "portables".
 
For a lower price you could probably get a DX90 and a great amp which will bring it up to about the same level.
 
Also, lots of other experienced dudes around here praise the DX90 for it's capabilities even after having owned or heard the DX100 extensively.

^ DX100 was $800, and it had two pcb's, high volt battery and the desktop es9018 so it probably had a better DAC section than DX90, I would rather a DX100 than a DX90 + Amp, stacks are still thicker than DX100 and are just annoying for me with interconnects. I look forward to iBasso's next dap, hope it's a beast, I don't mind bricks dap's if they are worth their weight.

Yes, the N6 seems to be a nice (good sq) dap, but X7 will have wifi, where the also upcoming Questyle daps will have 2 microsd card slots (just like X5)...so, I'll also wait

i've enjoyed my dx90 for almost a year now, and have started reading about possible upgrades.  this is not to demean the dx90, which i think has incredible value = performance/price.   i'd really love to hear something about what is in ibasso's pipeline.

i think most of us are ok because the recent fw upgrade really cured the itchy. maybe you're the type of consumer that has GAD ( Gear Acquisition Disorder ).

Plus I'm just sick of those sexy AK players calling my wallet. I don't want to buy something without a replaceable battery and an output impedance of higher than 1 ohm if possible but keep hearing that those players are a level or two above the DX90 so... naturally me want and ME WANT NOW!
