It is very firm first time and when you replace it, it will not close completely but leaves a tiny gap. It's much easier to remove second time though

^ I stand by what I said in my older posts about batteries, samsung is still best, in order of japan made, korea made, chinese made. Tied with samsung china comes extended batteries like kinps and mugen. There are two main factors that affect the battery impedance and SQ in new batteries, mAH capacity and chemical composition. The extended batteries like kinps and mugen have much better top and bottom extension and more neutral balanced frequency than stock, and even rival and sometimes better the samsung batteries in top bottom extension, depending on your luck, as I said its a lucky dip with batteries, one kinps battery can have up to 300mAH less than another, quality control is not very high in such batteries. The samsung batteries have higher quality chemical composition though, in the order I mentioned, japan, korea, china. They are more transparent, and have better detail and refinement. For example a kinps will better top bottom extension and more neutral frequency balance than a samsung china made, but the samsung china made will have better detail retreival, and blacker backround.

Glad to hear that this is normal. I thought mine was a fake DX90.

I bought a China-made compatible battery (brand: SCUD). Can't identify what's the differences in battery on sound.

I very much prefer this golden battery i got online compared to the original samsung made in korea one...

I am also thinking of getting this new brand kandese 6400mah to try... However i see that the same factory is producing the golden battery and this kandese 6400mah thus give the order a miss.

How can you close the back cover with that huge-size battery?

You dont. Some people have bought a custom back cover that's bigger and sticks out. Others have just used the rubber case from iBasso without putting the back cover on.

Much wow. However I don't think this gigantic battery get along well with DX90 when I tie it with portable amp XD Anyway can someone tell me this golden battery also improve sq or just provide more playtime?

I use the Anker 4400 mah battery without the back cover with the silicone skin solely for longer playtime. I have other batteries but am unable to tell any sound difference (which does not mean that there is no difference, just that I can't hear any)

I saw some ad that with the same size form factor but providing more than 5800mah of battery life

If it claims to provide that much power in the size of the stock battery it is almost certainly fake

For those big, thick large capacity extended battery, gotta be careful with no-brand batteries.I bought one from local phone shop for around us$20-ish which turn out only provide me with 4-5hours of play time.Maybe it's just another generic cheap batteries that carry more weight than power.I have Mugen 4600mah coming soon and will test the run time.they claim it can last 2.19 times longer than 'standard' samsung battery.

o/

Took me about two full minutes with extreme downward pressure on the cover to get it going.  I thought it might be irremovable afterall, or that I am a very weak and worthless man.  I gather it should be difficult to remove, and after a few good tries, I got it.
