and the front aluminium skin at the edge of the buttons peels easily too... not to mention i have dusts in my screen

The ones on x3 is really flimsy.  Won't be surprised if it's guage30 or less.  I'd rather they use engineering plastics.  Fiio do provide a silicon case cover to protect but it looks really hideous with the condom on..... I'm in fact a bit worried the same would be for DX50 after learning it's price... well hope to find out in just a couple more days!

the front part is just the skin brushed like aluminium, not even sure if its real aluminium.. but i'll be sending my unit in for repair once i get either the DX50 or AK100... still contemplating despite the AK's big 22 ohm setback... >_<

LOL, yes i agree the silicon case looks very wrong... and the build quality for the DX50 is also one of the reason i'm contemplating the AK100, even when it cost more than 2x with SQ probably on par.. or lower for the AK100 since i'm using IEMs mostly

Yup, the DX50 is only wider by 4mm, which is really nothing when you have amp bands on the C5. It measures 10cm long.

Reviews for which? The DX50? None yet, as no one has the DAP except for one dude who only posts pictures and says nothing.

Get a demo with your IEMs/HP before ordering AK100... I actually prefer the x3 sound over AK100.  But yes the AK built is impeccable.   I got suck into AKs with it's aesthetics, but even with the AK120 the sound is lacking dynamic and punch and is gathering dust.
 
If you had follow this thread earlier I was one of the few "stupid" folks hoping for a $500 DX50 with the AK100 type build and better sound....  well....

kkcc, I didnt understand your point before but I now also share the same opinion. It would have been a AK100 with LO and without the 22.
