Not a bad idea if you have a comfortable means to pocket it.
I was thinking if I use a DX320MAX TI on the train or a bus, I can probably bring along a fanny pack/sling bag that I can hang diagonally across my chest and have the DAP rest there while I listen on my IEMs.
I'm using a DDHifi sling bag made specifically for DAPs.

Grrrr, I hope iBasso took advantage of Can Jam Dallas and will make an appearance there so people can demo the DX340.

Since new DAPs were unveiling there, I was hoping iBasso followed suit.

I'm eager to hear how the DX340 compares to the DX320MAX and compares to the DX320.

If anyone is waiting for a Max because of battery life there is no need. For $10 I bought this brand new from Walmart Anker 22.5W Nano power Bank 5,000 MAH . As you can see fits the Dx320 perfect and is quick charging.

Happen to check status after doing some work and now charged while still playing out of Amp 13.

I know Bloom had an issue with most of their stuff not being delivered by the first day of the show. I’m here and it is not unfortunately.

Hope they keep the weight in line with dx180 and dx260 under 250g. It's a breath of fresh air holding the dx180, easy to handle/maneuver and nice to have something pocketable while doing house chores. Leave the brick styles for the MAX version PLZ
Are you being serious? The DX340 is bigger and it has a stainless steel body. It will be a lot heavier compared to the DX180 or DX260. Even so, it is slightly lighter compared to the SP3000.

Personally it's not so bad.

It's not as heavy as a DX320MAX or a SP3000.

And it will have lots of overhead power to scale up Annihilator 2023 or other power hungry IEMs.

Have you yet sold all your source gear to finance this new model looking at your signature? 😃

Looks well built. Wonder how it will compare sound-wise to DX320. They did a great job with DX180. My DX320 is just used at home so don't mind DX340 being heavier etc. DX180 is perfect as an away from home DAP because of size and it weighs nothing.

Naww, I had to sell off my gear due to a emergency situation but I will be in the market for a DAP again soon. :)

I loved the DX320 and I have owned about 3 of them in the past including a X version.
I have also owned a DX300 in the past and I have had owned a few modded AMP12 modules as well as a modded DX300MAX EXN3.

As you can see I have been loyal to iBasso and NPAudio for the past few years since the pandemic.
The fact that I would be able to use my AMP12EXN-S with the DX340 is a huge plus for me.

iBasso just needs to really revamp the MangoOS to add more features and ease of navigation, I've been using Neutron Player on my DX320 but would just want to simplify the UI and boot into MangoOS mode becuase I don't stream, I have a 1.5TB Micro SD card library.
